The questions remains - If Lyon manages to knock us out, not embarrass us, but just snatch a scored draw or a narrow win (which is possible), does Valverde get sacked? I think the answer is still no.

We might have a bigger problem than we anticipated. I think we have a nexus formed by the older players, and the board is clearly too incompetent to care or understand that the club is heading towards mediocrity, and really quickly. We knew that the senior players were the ones rooting for Valverde, but I think we need a system wide shake up - because somebody needs to come and control the situation we have here where the players have so much power. If not, Valverde or the next puppet, it won't make a difference.

And all of that involves large scale changes in the board and the sporting department.

Barca dominated and created a lot of chances.
Today we lost our usual lethal insinct.
Disappointed, team deserved to win, but now we will play at Nou Camp.

We've been consistently underwhelming in away games at Champions League, even under several coaches.

Let's hope we kill this tie in Camp Nou.

Try Coutinho on the left side with Dembele. Messi in the middle. (What does Suarez offer as a true 9?!?) Malcom on the right.

Sergi Roberto impressed in midfield. We played poorly but still managed to control Lyon (apart from the lazy Rakitic giving Ndombele all the space in the world in the first half) for the most part and still created plenty of chances to score.

Kudos for Valverde for not giving us that awful Rakitic-Vidal CM duo again though.

We can score 2 no problem.

:lol::lol::lol:

Have you watched us at all this past month?

They score once, you really think we can score twice in the sort of form we are in right now? And don't give me the whole "it's at the Camp Nou" song and dance. We have been just as average at home this season as on the road.

This is nosediving quickly and might get worse against Sevilla this weekend. I see very legitimate reason to be concerned with where this team is at right now.

Sure. No problem. 2 goals at home vs Lyon is nothing.

I'm concerned too. Just not about a home game vs the 3rd placed team in Ligue 1.
