CL winners are able to win playing bad. We're not even able to win when we should have scored. Unbelievable

No. CL winners go through while playing bad. They don't win all games. Plenty of loses or draws in the Madrid campaigns on the way to the title in the last 3 years.

Anyway, let's look at the positives. Back 4 looked very good, midfield controlled the game, and we created plenty of chances which were missed by our front three.

Most of Lyon's chances were long range shots and that's about it.

We'll do them at Camp Nou by 2+ goal difference. From there on I agree we start with the 2nd chance in the quarters except for another lucky draw.

They only need a draw. I wouldn't be as confident as you. I'm already having Nam flashbacks to Roma.

Even if we go through we're going to get demolished vs. any decent team. It's just a waste of time.

Exactly. We might go through, but we will be out vs any competent team.

Hopefully Lyon will be able to score on a couple of counters at the Camp Nou. Going through is just delaying the inevitable; we will get absolutely smashed no matter the team we draw next. Bayern 2013 smashed.

After valladoild the next pathetic performance. So much space to exploit and chances and not one goal. Just park the bus and i think we have no chance we cant even win against those open and bad defending teams.

Only City play good enough and produce a level high enough to beat us badly.

Who else? Bayern have as much problems as us, Juve and Atletico are economical teams, Madrid is not what they were with Ronaldo, and so on. Tottenham, Roma we would start as favorites vs them.

we can't be considered one of main CL contenders anymore

We will always be with Messi. We are in a considerably bad moment. Has to be said that we are really reliant on individual qualities.

Only positives I see going forward is that we hope for Arthur's return to really help stabilize our form and Dembele starts finding goals again. I'd also say our defense has improved and has been helping keep things draws/narrow wins instead of Ls. Without another goal threat outside of Messi though, we don't have a chance. So either Luis needs to pull his head out of his ass...again or the more likely, Dembele starts finding his goal touch again.

I think if we play at our best, we should at least get to the semis. And I don't think we'd get smashed, either. There isn't a clear dominant side this year, all of the big boys have their deficiencies, so its going to be about who is hot at the right time. The only teams who I think can match us 50/50 are either City or Liverpool so again, there isn't any reason why we shouldn't get to the semis with Madrid & Bayern being so average & PSG without Neymar. Juve have been fairly untested this season and will face their first real match against Atleti soon. So again, there isn't a clear favorite this year.

But we need a big performance and soon. We have to get out of this shitty spell we are in and the more this season materializes, the Siege of Madrid might be everything for us. If we produce strong performances against them in both matches, it could be the boost we need.

Exactly. I thought Lyon was foolish to give us that much space, but we didn't do anything with it. Awful awful attacking.

Exactly. I'm surprised these bookies year after year keeps putting us into the top-3. We are dog shit in CL.

I am not a betting man so I don't know what the bookies say but from many commentators and fans we are clearly not among the favorites to win CL this year.

From the commentators I have seen our odds of winning the CL are behind City, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Juventus, on par with Bayern and PSG.

CL is very volatile. Things can open up fast with a good away game. Too bad we don't score in those.

Or Coutinho, but that's not likely to happen with his form.
