You could seè they were worse this season. Even we beat them home 3-0 and away got draw.
No surprise they couldn't challenge rested and focused Real.

How can someone call a team with Khedira and Bentacur in the midfield and Higuain as striker and 22 year old kid as their most important player not overrated?
And in fact, Juventus defense is the worst in this CL tournament of all knockout teams.
I guess Valverde thinks he hasn't adapted defensively to the team yet.

Which looks correct and will take time.
Dembele probably never played in a team he has had to have to track back as much.

Hope this lineup performa well. being solid defensively and taking advantage of the few chances we get is our only possibility to win the CL this year, and I think with this lineup we are pretty solid. We still can sub Dembele if we need goals.
Of course that’s not the Barça way, but this season that doesn‘t matter to me anymore, as a absolutely don‘t want Madrid to win their 3rd consecutive CL and I think we are maybe the only team that knows how to win against them. As said, thats against our Philosophy but we are not able to outplay the really big teams this season so I think the only way to win the title is with this more balanced approach.

Sevilla overloaded their left side attack, which worked. The combination of S. Roberto and Dembele on that side of the field just was not good enough on defense. I'm not surprised Valverde is trying something different for this game, he really had to do something.

I just hope we don’t let players like Strootman and Florenzi freely shoot from outside the box like it seemed we did with Willian at times. Looks like a more defensive Roma side that what they usually line up with. Florenzi in midfield or on the wing it seems. Not at RB.

Sevilla got more joy down the left from Alba going forward and Umtiti left exposed but Dembele was too slow to get back to often and can see why not playing.

Good news: Semedo has Valverde's trust.
Bad news: Roberto barely played anywhere else than at RB this season and he gets to do it in one of the biggest games of the season.
Dembele should get in min 60. and run his legs off both in attack and in defense.
And this are the first minutes for Semedo in over a month.
Valverde is really an odd dude. I mean, would've made sense to warm Semedo up with some minutes vs Sevilla.

Yep, smart tactics by Valverde considering Kolarov got 8 assists from his LB position so far this season. Got to be careful with Florenzi on the other side too, though.

Yea he could suddenly pull out a Denis Suarez out of nowhere. At least he know Paulinho isnt as effective now which is a good sign. But then again, judging by how odd his selections is he might actually use Vidal or Paulinho again in the Semis if we manage to get thru.
