Yea he could suddenly pull out a Denis Suarez out of nowhere. At least he know Paulinho isnt as effective now which is a good sign. But then again, judging by how odd his selections is he might actually use Vidal or Paulinho again in the Semis if we manage to get thru.

Maybe he had other plans but didn't really like Paulinho / Dembele in trainings prior to the match, and was impressed by Semedo instead. That's the only way it kind of makes sense putting Semedo straight into this match from the start with no match practice post injury.

We all know that in CL matches 10/11 spots in the squad are irreplaceable. He is using that single space to try different tactics with different players and using players who are in form at that moment. It was working till today, let's see how it will be today.
