Let's be real guys, even if Messi bailed us out against Roma we would get spanked harder than 2013 SF against all of those remaining teams. Still a very shit performance and a disgusting display.

Unfortunately, I think Barca has become a weird version of Galacticos. The players repeat the mes que un club, we are a family stuff all the time, but when you strip everything down to basics, they are just a bunch of overpaid superstars.
Roma yesterday was an example of how to fight for your club. Messi's salary alone can finance their whole squad, yet they obliterated us. The result was even fair to us, they could have easily scored one or two more. They were better in absolutely every aspect of this fucking game called football.
Our coach is a bitch, who got dominated by a number of mid table teams, but we tolerated it, because we have the results. Now, we have shit. We got knocked out of CL by a mediocre team, with all due respect to them.
Our players think they can just come to the pitch and the other team will concede, especially Messi and Suarez. Iniesta is physically gone, too slow and he is done, no one can blame him. But those two are our biggest superstars and to play like this in the most important match of the season is absolutely disgraceful.
People say that it is ungrateful to criticize Messi after everything. Why the fuck would it be? Can a normal person tell his boss that you had a good year three years ago, so you can do shit at work and it's all fine. Why would Messi then with his gigantic salary be excused from criticizing. I still love him to death, but yesterday he was shit yet again in CL.

I hope the people that will come to the stadium will show their displeasure at them, not just cheer everyone like a bunch of bitches. Especially Valverde. Fans have a duty to show the team and management they can't behave like this and have our endless support.
Loosing against Roma like this is completely unacceptable for a club of this magnitude. Our magic is gone, we all know that, but to be a laughing stock of club football every year in the cl knockout stages is a fucking horror.

Valverde is eagerly waiting for Messi to save his ass in the last minute and all will be swept under the carpet again. Not this time. His luck ran out, Barca dont need this type of over-conservative coach.

Also, what the fck is with his obsession with 70 min and 80 min subs? And what does Andre Gomes offer?

I say this without an malice but the sense of entitlement of Barcelona and their fans is unbelievable. They think they just have to show up and the other teams will shit their trousers and say"we are doomed ,it's Barcelona" It doesn't work like that. Roma gave everything and got what they deserved. Barca need to learn how to scrap for a win

Except everybody here agrees Roma deserved to advance and they are mad at Valverde and the players for a spineless performance. Where's the entitlement?

Based on how everything has been even outside UCL, Valverde had to learn his lesson one way or another.

Exactly. It was only matter of time this happened. We got lucky vs Chelsea in both ties. Then vs Rome home. This was about to happen. It's shame it happened but you knew it was coming for a long time. We have been dysfunctional team for a long time but good luck has saved us many times.

The sad thing is that I was telling one of my friends a few days ago that teams like Juventus, PSG etc. are too weak mentally, when they are losing the players give up and dont give it their all.. examples were juventus players giving up when down 2-0 againts real and psg giving up against real.. but today i realized that we are worse than all of them, the players just lost it, there was no desire to score a goal.. even when down 3-0 i didnt really see the players fighting to score

Exactly. I'm not upset about losing to Rome. They were clearly the better side over 180 min and deserved to go through but thay says enough about Barca. We got the easiest draw in the last 8 and was kicked out. It's shameful and everyone here is probably ashamed what happened and the way Barca lost. No fight absolutely.. Shocking performance. One of the worst games I have ever seen in CL. Worse than PSG or Juventus away.

It was innevitable at some point in the ucl, so the only positive is that ev is out after he gets the double.

New coach, new vision and maybe with dembouz, griz and coutinho we wont look like a seniors team.

This. Roma fought, with teeth and nails, they left their blood and sweat on the pitch. Barça coach and players were in "we can't get 3" mode and played spineless and shameful.
This is a clear case of players losing it in the clouds.

Roma is a worse team but they compensated that with tactics, heart, and sweat. Sometimes it is enough to win. They did it fair and deserved to go through.

You bet we'll never get an easy draw like this again lol.

I mean, with all due respect to Roma.......they've hardly been spectacular this season and are in 4th place for a reason.

De Rossi and Manolas were absolute beasts. Especially Manolas. Very impressive. Could start for a top 5 team in the World.
