Should've gone for what worked before. I absolutely hate new things ahead of tough games. They never work out.

Reminds me of Pep who always overthinks ahead of a tough fixture and ends up messing a recipe that would probably work.

The silver lining about this line up - Gavi can go Gegenpress on their ass and as soon as he's spent, we can bring on FDJ who will bring not only energy but also a lot of quality as the game starts to get into the last quarter (only relevant of course if the game is still open by then).

Btw no doubt that we have the stronger squad. The only advantage they have is that they have better synergy as our team is pretty new

Really excited. Team feels competitive this season (for the first time since 2016?), but we have to prove it.

What's up with de Ligt?

Upamecano has apparently always done well against Lewandowski. So probably gone with the option that knows his game more.

Although most games i've ever seen of Upamecano he makes some kind of mistake that costs his team or puts them in danger

Alonso's first start is against Bayern away? That side could get ugly. I guess Xavi wants his strength and heading ability to deal with crosses.
