I'm actually stunned that Marcos Alonso's first appearance for Barca is in a back 4 away to Bayern Munich

This is a risky move by Xavi, hope it doesn't cost us. About Garcia.. we need his ball playing but he is weak physically and makes a big mistake almost routinely. Hope the gamble proves Xavi right.

So we will play with two slow and shit defenders in Alonso and Busi. Kounde and Araujo will have a hard night infront of them.

His energy and running, his quality in carrying the ball forward and the fact that he's 10^5 times better than the Ancient one and much more experienced than Gavi.

Speaking of the "the Ancient one", this should be his thread name.

Should've gone for what worked before. I absolutely hate new things ahead of tough games. They never work out.

I don't mind Christensen over Garcia. I don't really care about his 3-4 'good' games in La Liga. He's a shit defender and weak as hell. He would have gotten sodomized by Bayern. Christensen hasn't looked great, but at least has some height and could pull out an 'average' performance. He just needs to be 'okay' while Araujo needs to be 'great'.

Alonso...yeah..this is pretty weird. But I guess I prefer him to the chipmunk. Definitely would have played Balde too, but I don't think it's a crazy move, I can see the rationale. Playing the ancient one though...when you have FDJ

Gavi is going to have to press Kimmich like crazy to prevent him from dictating things and spraying passes out to the flanks.
