CL Round 2: Bayern Munchen - FC Barcelona 2-0

Average age sounds good until you look at the teams forwards. 33, 30, 27. And yes I realize Lewa is up there in age too. Hardest thing to do is replace a #9. Real Madrid will find out very soon with Benzema as well.

How many teams have a worldclass 9 that is not over 30, City and maybe Juve, thats it

so based on this Barca will also get in to decline since Lewa is 34

Ansu Fati will be the next #9 striker at Barca. Just needs to keep playing games and bulk up some more, guys only 19 but is very proven as a scorer. He also might never come back into fitness. Nothing is certain. Lewa is taking him under his wing though it's obvious they want him to learn from Lewa as much as he can.

Don't think I have tbh, and I didn't even say the second thing wtf.

Horatio did, wrong copy paste.

yeah tbh I can't keep track anymore. Been on this forum since 8 years and I feel like I am being asked this question by another forum member every once in a month.

Whether you like it or not Bayern was toothless and individual mistakes is why Barca lost. Corner whatever sometimes those go in its just the way it is. But the Aane goal should have been a foul way before. Other than that Bayern had maybe 2 good shots on goal and that's it. Will cost Bayern down the road. They are already not as good as last season and so on.

Maybe Yannik, and this is just a thought, maybe you should proactively include what team you support into your signature considering how often it is being asked?

If only signatures wouldn't suck. I'll edit my favs maybe.

For the record. My local team is H96, int. I root for German teams internationally. There you go.

Root more for the smaller teams. Bayern don't need your support :coffee:

as smug as i may sound, this was Barca at their recent best Bayern at their recent worst. The best chance you had in a decade, and in fact you outplayed them fairly and should've won, but it wasn't enough. It may just not meant to be.

What a way to belittle your opponents after you already won the game, with a lot of luck.

Barca's recent best? Clearly the team is still in the rebuild phase with a lot of young and old players and the team is still molding together. Bayern's recent worst? In what case? They only lost Lewandowski and was heavily reinforced in the summer on multiple positions. Prior to the recent three consecutive draws in the league, there were talks of Bayern being much better than last season, Nagelsmann finally gelling etc. and everything is clicking for Bayern etc.

Yeah, don't remember Yannik acting so smug in the past unfortunately. Something in life turned him bitter. More so than usual. Wish him best.

Even after this loss, I am still positive we haven't seen the best Barca yet.(obv) We have many new players and they have only played handful of games together. We will look better and we will play better. Chemistry is just building now.

Xavi doesn't even know his best combinations yet

I am confident this is the case.

I mean Alonso played his first minutes with Barca. In a tough spot.

Then other players haven't had much time to gel yet, Raphinha, Kounde, Christensen, Lewy, Kessie etc.

It's almost a new team.

You know, top and didi7 were both pretty realistic/respectful.

And then Yannik came charging in head first to fulfill the "gotta be at least 1 smug Bayern fan" quota :mou:
