CL Round 2: Bayern Munchen - FC Barcelona 2-0

Away at Bayern is tough. I'd settle for a decent performance, not getting slaughtered, keeping hope for at least a draw at Camp Nou. This group could well end up Bayern 16, Barca 10 after getting the crucial point from Bayern, Milan 9, of course 0 for the little team that did so well to make to the CL. This would be a significant move up from last season.

This is a great time for this game. Relatively low stakes as we are just beginning the CL group stages; we aren't very fatigued, and we don't have too many injuries. Also, it's still early on in the season to get a reality check if we needed one - a thrashing here and we can all get back to reality about this team and hopefully Xavi can see that a Busquets led midfield doesn't work. Of course - if we win, that is a huge boost to our confidence, and we will now think we can fight and compete at the top-level vs the best.

Incredibly excited for this game, and I just wish we could play FDJ instead of Biscuits. Never going to happen, but it would be such a crucial move to improve our chances.

I think Bayern's speed and intensity might be too much for Barca here. 3-1 to Bayern would be my prediction.

Well that scoreline would be acceptable for Topt.

I expect Barca to be pretty fired up and up for it too.

Plus they have more momentum than Bayern in the last few games.

Reckon it'll be a closer game than that.

Whilst it would be lovely to win tonight, a loss won't be the end of the world of course. Returning the Camp Nou to the fortress it was a few years ago is more important.

According to reports Alonso and Christensen will start.

Almost at a loss for words.

Incredible 12 minutes must have convinced Xavi.

Balde can't win though. If he had a bad game Xavi would bin him. While if Alonso did then Xavi will say "still needs to get used to the team and lacks game time".

Unless of course, Balde aced it. Which Xavi may just attribute to the presence of Busquets :coffee:
