Claudio Bravo

Would you care to explain? Or are you going to leave me hanging?

Neither icarium nor i were talking of letting mats go on loan now
You can infer this by reading posts more carefully.
Icarium said that if he did not improve, then we should loan him. Can't let him improve (or not) if directly loaned right ?
I said, if one goalie goes, another is signed -can't sign 'til january right ?

Care to explain how you got the wrong notion ?

i hope Mats doesn't fuck up. He has got a good chance, if he develops some confidence then fine otherwise we should seriously think about loaning mats.
Icarium doesn't specify exactly when it should happen. I interpreted it as soon i.e. before January.

And you backed him up, so any reasonable person can understand how I came to this conclusion.

P.s. Thanks for getting back to me.

well, can't sign a goalkeeper before jan so only icarium's post leaves some doubts. If you're willing to believe that he wants to loan mats in november or something... I any case i wouldn't say your interpretation was reasonable.

That's not the point. It would make 10x times less sense to loan him before january, that's the point.

Plus, one of mats and bravo is very likely to leave after this season, and i doubt the next duo will be as good.

TornAndFrayed Don't know why you'd say that!?!

The first half of the season would be the optimal moment for him to get important game time so he could return in January with confidence and minutes under his belt.

How could that be less beneficial than loaning him Jan, when he would be needed if something were to happen to Bravo?

Something did happen to Bravo. He's out for 2 weeks minimum, up to a month. (that's why you don't get rid of a GK outside of the mercato btw)

I didn't expect you to envision a loan for mats starting in the fall and ending in january. This seems ridiculously short, can't say i've heard of similar situations before. It also weakens our position in the summer mercato regarding mats --he'll want to leave.

I agree!

6 week loans do happen. I don't see the point of them myself, nor do I like them.

If all goes well, do you think that TS will be our first choice GK, for the 2016/17 season?

It depends on what comps mats will play this season. I think he'll leave if he doesn't get a large taste of either la Liga or the CL. If he does, he may stay and fight for the n1 spot over 2016/17.

Bravo: "We knew Vermaelen would perform well once he was fit. We saw him in training, we know he's talented and that he'd add a lot."

Bravo: "Valdes has always been an example for me. What he did at Barça shouldn't be forgotten. I hope he can play again soon."

Bravo: "Our fourth child will be Catalan, because the baby will probably be born here. We've been thinking a lot and the time was right."
