12 million is silly money for a second choice keeper.

Depends on the preseason. If Mats performs well he'll be the starter with Bravo making cameo appearances. He is there to be a backup, not to impede Mats' development.

How can fair competition for the starting spot be a "impedement"? Mats either plays great, and will be counted on, or Bravo will have his chance. Ter Stegen doesn't have a guaranteed place in the first XI. Not at a club like Barca. Surely he knows that.
