Bravo's now looking as a great signing, doesn't he? :) Makes you wonder how many quality players from La Liga are right here under our noses.
Suarez? Take Carlos Vela for fraction of his price.

Good keeper doesn't mean good signing. I don't see the need for him, or rather I don't think the need is so big that it would warrant paying 12m. Signing him means risk avoidance (in case MAtS/Masip flop) but it could also mean slowing down MAtS' & Masip's development as he'd obviously demand playing time, and I don't think he'd be worth that happening, WC performances or not.

Marquinhos? Take Musacchio instead.

Even though Vela and Suarez are on completely different levels, I'm pretty sure Vela is headed back to Arsenal in any case.

Didn't La Real just buy the rest of his rights from Arsenal? Arsenal, until now, still had a stake in Vela, but Sociedad bought it, at least that's what the papers say.

We simply have to have a decent backup goalkeeper in case MAtS gets injured. I am not sure if Masip is ready for the first team yet. Therefore. Bravo would not have been my personal choice, but we have to have a decent backup.

From what I have read he was Luchos choice and they wanted a keeper who has La Liga experience, experience at the top level and comfortable with ball at feet. On top of that he is a leader and a voice of experience in a dressing room that has lost a lot of that this summer.

It wont hinder the development of Ter Stegen if anything it will help him knowing that they can take him out the team when required and have an able back up waiting. Just look at how Man Utd handled de Gea, he was a young keeper in a new league at a high profile club and they rotated him a lot to give him best chance of settling in.

Yep, they officially announced it on their website too.

For that price?

That's a nice way of saying it. They rotated him a lot because the entire country doubted him.

Exactly, they rotated him a lot to take him out of the team when the pressure was huge. It undoubtedly helped him, the pressure at a big club can destroy a player.
