Claudio Bravo

name us someone better then.

Antoni Ramallets & Salvador Sadurní could be very well argued as the better GK for Barca.
While I doubt anyone here ever watched them I don't like the new trend of calling every Barca player we had right now as the greatest Barca ever in his position.even with how exceptional the last decade has been
It seem if you have watched Barca for past decade and half then you have seen most if not all Barca greatest players according to some posts in the forum. we need to slow down with the "greatest in the Barca history thing

You're only 13?!? That's a shock man! I guess Rijkaard's pic always gives a very, very wrong idea about your age!!

IIRC he said b4 he was born in early 80's. So he was sarcastic
Although I can't be sure if you are sarcastic too

I just wish we had both. I would rather play half the matches and have a big big chance of winning trophies than play all the matches and have very less chances of winning as compared. Bravo was such an awesome keeper it hurts watching him go. Didn't knew much about him before he was signed and I thought of him just as a backup and never thought he would boss it this much for us.

Criminally underrated amongst top goalkeepers because he didn't need to get into action as much compared to keepers of other clubs.

Don't know why people are arguing about who was better between him and valdes, both were great but what I loved about bravo is that I never felt more comfortable than when bravo was between the posts. Didn't put a foot wrong most of the times and if we ever concede a goal 99.999 % it would never have been bravo's fault which made him really reliable. Never got that feeling with Mats or valdes even though both had the skill set to make those impossible saves.

It was a short period of his time here but he definitely made his mark. Wish it had lasted longer.

Goodbye bravo.

Nice offtopic here, i dont know if its about Luchos style, but ive never really felt the team would be as secure in the back as it has been with Bravo in goal. Valdes was great 1v1s and is a legend yadayada, but i always felt like something can go horribly wrong at any given time. Most of times it didnt, with Bravo, he was just more stable, he wasnt as spectacular sure, but he was stable and i believe team also felt it. With Mats i feel like with Valdes, he seems just so more likely to go bananas.
But yea as someone stated, if Bravo wanted to leave, there is no point in further arguments, massive thanks and hopefully we dont have to face ManCity in CL finals :p

Greatest, like the best Barca's Gk ever based on his goalkeeping skills?
Or greatest, like a Gk who was lucky to live/play during Messi/Xavi/Iniesta/Pep era and thus turned into a Gk who won the highest amount of trophies with Barca?
Or greatest like a mixture of: being Catalan, played here for 10+ years, played well, won a lot of trophies?

Imo, regarding pure goalkeeping skills, Bravo was in these 2 years as equal or even better than Valdes...

He's clearly the greatest based on the second and third criteria you mentioned, and I would say that he's also the GK that has contributed the most to the club's sporting success. No other keeper has performed as well as he has, all things considered.

The only real question is if he's been the best GK the club has ever had and that is impossible for me to say. I've never seen Zamora, Ramallets or Zubi play, but I believe his performances at his peak for us were better than what Bravo and TS have performed during these two years.

What a way to say goodbye.

Great keeper, always honored our shirt, deserves every piece of success here or whatever place he goes.

Isnt it ironic that Bravo who was severely criticized in this thread for his recent huge drop of form (¿?) and his constant injuries last season (¿?), in his last game with Barca he steps up once again, comes up with big saves, great foot work and stops a penalty all while MATS is injured?

He was shutting mouths from the moment he arrived and did so until the moment he left the team. Selling him is a bad decision. I feel like it's going to cost us alot this season not having him, but I hope I'm wrong this time.
