Come on Argentina, win this Copa America, please... Let's hope Messi keeps doing his magic and that Higuain keeps playing as good as he played yesterday. Hope to see Di Maria back and Aguero starting against USA. But I agree that Chile has improved a lot since the loss to Argentina, I also believe it will be 50-50 in the final.

Coin has to fall in his favor eventually. You cant play 4 international finals and not win any. But lets get past the US first.

Oh god, not Tata's BBQ again.
Di Maria's injury was a blessing in disguise, Gaitan is a much better fit for Argentina.

If it were Di Maria Messi never would receive that pass back to score the 3-0. He would just have shot it into orbit.
Mostly in Argentina the players dont get him. Messi thinks so much quicker and further ahead than anyone. You often see them not making a run, not passing the ball back to him, ignoring his run or making overal bad decisions than you see at Barca.
Its less worse than it was before though which is good. Obviously not playing together that often plays a role as well.

This Chile press will stifle Argentina completely if they meet in a final - If they meet up there then I can see Chile repeating last year as Argentina's defence & midfield will collapse and hoof the ball up or be forced in to committing stupid mistakes

Say what you want, but the way they work together as a unit is absolutely brilliant and something for other teams to take notice of

And Tata won't have any solution to that, again, as he is limited and dumb af.

Don't think Chile will beat Colombia. It's going to be Argentina-Colombia in the final.

Edit; Nice one, Horatio. :p

Tbf to Tata, even if he tried, I'm not sure he can do much about it.

Pep as someone else told me, deployed long balls against the same high pressure against Borussia Dortmund, but they had Boateng, Alaba, Kimmich and co. Players who are great at playing the ball out from the back.

Otamendi and Funes Mori are not at the same level, not even close. Romero is nowhere close to Neuer. The less said about Rojo the better.

They could try something else though, with the midfielders dropping deeper with smart movement creating space and helping the defenders, but for that they need to play like a unit and play smart. Will take a lot of energy too.

In any case, Tata need to work very hard in training sessions and mobilize his midfielders because Argentina usually don't play like a complete unit like Chile does.

Chile might not make the final, but I think they will.

Chile lost in the first round, keep calm and believe in the beard, then Argentina for me is better then last year, Augusto Fernandez and Banega are better then Pastore and Biglia and remember at Santiago Argentina played with that disgrace player of Lavezzi after Di Maria's injury, Gaitan is on another level.
