Copa America 2020

UEFA president Aleksander Čeferin: ?The exchange of referees with @CONMEBOL for our two flagship tournaments will enrich both competitions and will enhance the experience of top referees."

It might actually help CONMEBOL.

Their referees are ass.

But now imagine an Uruguayan referee letting players literally kill each other in UEFA competitions lol.

Fernando Rapallini will participate in Euro, apparently the worst Argentinian ref.

Looking at the state of the other teams they should at least reach semis, but you never know with Argentina. Brazil still clearly above the rest.

Teams play way more dirty and hard tackles are sorta allowed in Copa America. Does not suit Messi. Even reaching finals would be a big achievement imo, but BD'or only cares about titles in the following ranking (World Cup > CL > Euros > League > Copa America). Messi has a big advantage as long as Man City go through because I personally do not see how KDB has been at all better than Messi this season. Man City's success is all due to team effort and coach.

When it comes to Leo it will be huge. Him winning a league is happening too often for anyone to care too much.

The thing is a Messi without an int. trophy is at least some sort of backup choice every voter makes when there just hasnt been another player who played a major role in a significant achievement.
If he doesnt win the Copa, he desperately needs to hope for a Euro winner that has quality more spread out rather than concentrated on one individualist. Basically countries like England, Germany, Spain.
But when you have the likes of France, Belgium, Portugal or god forbid fucking Poland win the Euros, then there will be little way around their current stars.

And at the same time Real Madrid (or Chelsea) winning CL would actually be good for Messi since they dont send any favourite into the race and Mbapp?, Neymar and De Bruyne cant take credit. Speaking of Neymar, he can also still win the Copa and is still in the CL.
