People keep saying this is a poor team.. it's the best Argentina in ages. They are playing much better football than previous years.

They barely made it to World Cup last time. That's how bad they were.

Certainly not better football. So many misplaced passes and inability to keep the ball. I don't know if its the pitches or the occasion gets to some of these players but I have seen them pass the ball well in some games. It could also be the fouling stop start game you see alot of in South America. I bet you if they played a European team in Europe they would look good. I've seen it with previous Argentina teams playing friendlies in Europe and dominating and passing the ball brilliantly

You are correct. The pitches look dreadful compared to Europe. Absolutely terrible. The ball seems to bounce a lot. I am not sure what's going with that.

Scaloni has so many options. He could keep going with Gonzalez, opt for a more playmaking Papu, an offensive Correa or experienced Di Maria. Four different players that alter the tactics quite significantly and with an opportunity to surprise Colombia.

Only for Scaloni to release the full XI, his bank account and Messi's private phone number 24 hours ahead of the game.

There could be a possibility of the occasion getting to the players, but bad pitch has a big influence as the ball can bounce unexpectedly and players can miscontrol it.

I wouldn't take too much consideration of the passing quality of the players for this tournament.

Do they have hybrid pitches in Brazil or is it real grass? In Europe from my understanding it's only Hybrid grass these days for top teams.

Is any other national team doing it 24 hours earlier? Is it standard south America

if they play with this lineup colombia will destroy them on counter. paredes shouldn't play and hope romero is ok because with pezzella and sabotamendi there is absolutely no way they'll will not concede at least one.

Brazils line up other than T.Silva & Neymar is bang average, why is everybody saying Argentina have no chance lol.

To big up Messi if he wins i'm guessing.

Marquinhos, Richarlison is certainly better than latauro. Lodi is decent and of course casemeiro and firmino who is in the bench. Anyway this Brazil team look good together . They can put 20 plus passes together unlike Argentina.
