If only we knew how to defend this well on Anfield and on Olympico vs Rome. Would've conceded one goal max.

Or Frankfurt, or Inter, or Bayern, or Man Utd.

Only team beat in ten European games being Plzn.

But nah just ignore the defensive collapses from Xavi.

I hear many things about the quality of la Liga vs epl and some of it is true.
Epl had more teams in a higher level.
But if I remember correctly, Liverpool got smashed by the same Madrid a bad Barca just won against, again.
Manu barely won against us, while we only have 11 decent players and 3 of them were missing.
We tend to overestimate opponents and underestimate our performances. We are certainly not on the level of part glories, far from it, but no team is on that level currently.

How is any of that even remotely revenant to what was said? Being up 3 goals 1 game away from the CL final?.

Smh.

Hey guys, stop complaining and criticizing as usual. Let's give our team some credit. Without Lewandowsky, Dembele, A.Fati (for the most part of the game) and Pedri, that was a big win. Yes, it was ugly, not in our usual style but at the end of the day we beat Madrid at their home court. Xavi's tactics were excellent in this game and "Los Blancos" would not have been able to score even if we continued to play till the next morning.
The thing we should really be concerned about is the awful plays from F.Torres and Raphinha. None of them is capable to break the opponent's defensive line and creating a situation for goal. The Brazilian is moving a lot, showing a desire to do something but with no result. The other one just doesn't know what his job is in this team.

Mmmmm

🗣️ Munuera Montero (Clasico referee) to Milito, after Vinicius' foul on de Jong:

Eder, listen... It's a red card, okay .. He grabbed him by the neck, and threw him to the ground

Ref was superb. That's not a red card. La Liga refs are the best imo, Madridista Manzano and Hollywood Lahoz excluded, but just a bit too soft on both language and physical duels. Neither Gavi nor Vinicius did enough to get sent off.

Refs need to understand that if they don't curse at them, just complaining after a decision in the heat of the game should not be a yellow card offense. They seem to give a yellow to these players for any gesture of frustration which is comical.

But the standard of refereeing in Spain is much higher than EPL. EPL refs don't even know the rules very well.

Funny way to go about when your quotations literally reads "Score doesn't matter, what matters is how game went. We should of gone ahead by 1 or 2 "

When one says 'how the game went' and continues by 'should have gone up by 1 or 2', he means a very specific thing, and it's not what you are claiming now

If one doesn't know how to, it isn't me on how to read it's you on how express yourself correctly

Nope everything fine on that front. Just usual suspects looking to harp on about their preferred stats - be it xG or Ls and Ws. Zero effort put into reading obvious from context and between lines

Top post.

It's mostly a stylistical difference between EPL, and Spain, not a quality one. If anything, Spanish teams usually beat EPL teams. Even us in EV days we dispatched of Tottenham, United, Chelsea with relative ease back in 2018 and 2019.

If anyone wants to check for h2h between Spanish and English teams, Spanish teams kind of win. Even likes of Atletico, Villareal and Sevilla beat or drew with higher tier EPL teams like United and Liverpool when they met in recent years.

Atletico knocked out United last season, and gave City a nightmare match only losing 0-1 aggregate. Liverpool got beaten again by Madrid, as did City and Chelsea. Liverpool beat Villareal, which is a lesser Spanish side. Now this season, Liverpool is losing again vs Madrid. United beat Barca.

Even in the last few years, when EPL been the top league and La Liga declined, the duels are about on par overall.

Atletico and us are both unable to sign players next summer and will only be looking at the free agents pool. That's the news out of Spain today.

That's the 1st and 3rd side of the country. No way can the league remain competitive when they can not pay transfer fees, and have to rely on the academies which are also being sniped to shit (Garnacho to Man U from Atleti, Berhsahgavic from Celta to Liverpool).

Least Xavi won't be able to put us further into debt and burden us with the next ferret, donkey, or old striker.
