Me guessing the cover photo of FIFA 19 will have to be retaken then?

LOL. Love, emotion, romance and rose-tinted glasses. So deluded.

It is his comfort zone. He has no need to move. He's not the careerist type chasing trophies and personal CV glory.

There is nothing wrong with what I said and you know it. Stop being in denial. Ronaldo wanted to leave real and it is official even there in the communication real has put out. There is a tension between the club and the player while there is none with messi. He could have easily left if he wanted to do. It is his boyhood club and he won't. You are probably just envious and talking nonsense. And you call me deluded okay lmao.

Messi reportedly almost left Barca in 2012 or 2013.

I find it hilarious how people bitch about players changing clubs all the time(BUHUUUU WHERE ARE THE ONE CLUB MEN, I HATE THESE PLAYERS THAT MOVE AROUND LIKE PROSTITUTES FOR MONEY AND OTHER SHIT AND WON'T STAY LOYAL BUHUUUUUU) and here you have a one club man who will retire as the greatest player of all time in many people's eyes, and by far the greatest player in the history of Barcelona that no one will ever surpass.

Will probably end up with a statue outside Camp Nou and other shit named after him.

And some people still bitch about how he's not competitive, lazy or how he's in his comfort zone and should seek a new challenge lol.

Get the hell outta here. He doesn't need to prove shit to anyone or go anywhere.

CR just went to the club that have won 7 league titles in a row in a league where a washed up 38 year old Luca Toni ended as the joint top scorer three years ago.

That's your comfort zone. A league where older players tend to flourish more so than in other European leagues.

And the reason CR even left while saying multiple times he want to retire in Madrid is three things:

1. Not being paid as he want to be, because Real aren't delusional and know his level in the CL will drop off soon too and block other young outstanding players

2. His legal case

3. Getting annoyed because Real want Neymar/Hazard/Mbappe and having his ego hurt because they want to compete like they do now for a decade and not hinge onto a 33 year old, in other words, they are more than happy to let him go

He would have stayed in his "comfort zone" until he was ready to move to the MLS or retire too if Real Madrid weren't actually planning long-term and were more than willing to let him go.

Didn't go out to seek new challenges or conquer another league(2 league titles in 9 years is apparently conquering La Liga and Spain) and country out of his own, he was kinda pushed out as he perceives it himself.

always thought it was weird people rate jumping from one strong team to another as "proving themselves in a different league" or "playing outside of comfort zone".

last bad team I remember CR7 playing for is 04-05 united. I don't see how going from a strong united to galactico real to easily the best team in italy and regular CL contender team in juve is challenging oneself. As opposed to seeing out both the highs and lows with a single club like Messi has for us over the last 13 years.

CR just left the most successful team in England to join the most successful team in Spain(he had a deal to join the year before our treble winning season when RM were better and we were in chaos, but Man Utd made him stay another year) only to join a team that's even worse(or better if you roll that way) than Bayern when it comes to dominance domestically.

Ronaldo a smarter conquerer than even Napoleon. The latter had to struggle for it whereas CR7 is joining one super power and the best team in league history to another.

Playing for Juve is far from leaving comfort zone narrative. In fact it is much easier as he can rest more in the league and go all out in CL. People are idiots who make up some stupid nonsense to make themselves believe in their narratives. If barca treats messi badly obviously he would go too. Obviously that is not the case. He has the highest salary and he never did any drama about asking to leave.

It is reported that he is getting a pay cut (with higher tax rate in Italy) by going to Juventus, any truth to that?

He's going to earn 30m which is a pay rise with Fiat paying his salary. Fiat is partly owned by Exor which is a holding company owned by the Agnelli family that have owned Juventus since the early-mid 1900s.

He's going to get all those 30 millions.

What does that mean? He is going to get 30m after tax? How much did he earn at Real Madrid after tax?

Here is one of the articles that I read saying he is getting a pay cut essentially: https://www.forbes.com/sites/christ...leaves-real-madrid-for-juventus/#2042212529a6

What's the challenge to go to Juve? He's playing the best team in Serie A that has gone to two CL finals in a span for 4 seasons.

He's going to be making bank while racking up Scudettos.

Since Fiat is paying his salary I would not be surprised if they set up a bank account in Luxembourg or some shit and wire it through there.

I don't know what that Forbes article is talking about considering literally every Italian and Spanish outlet is reporting he's going to take 30m home.

That Forbes article also says he is getting 30m euros take home pay from Juventus. Looks like what they are saying is his official pay (before tax) is somehow lower than what he was getting from Real Madrid, no idea how they arrived at the following conclusion.

Based on Italy's top tax rate, Ronaldo's new gross salary equates to $50.5 million, a pay cut from last season, when he earned $61 million in salary and bonus at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.

Yeah I saw that.

Guy's taking a pay cut based on his overall income, but will take home more money than with Madrid.

Who wouldn't take that pay cut :mou:

Can I please get that kinda pay cut too :(
