I won't criticise the bloke too much because he is still a top 5 striker in the world for a big club at 35.5 years of age. Most attackers at that age cannot even move and are stinking it up in the MLS or China with pot-bellies.

He was outscored by a 36 year old in Italy last season and has got by with penalties every week this season due to manipulating VAR.

^ It was his debut season though. Ronaldo did well enough.
Tackle is right to say for 35-year old Ronaldo does well. The issue has always been the unwarranted hype, and people making up great aspects of his game that arent there.

Tbf, Immobile gets a shit ton of penalties as well.
But yeah, his numbers are of course boosted by the idiotic way Serie A deals with penalties.

Yeah, ironically the version of him before Madrid were winning CLs was way better. His dribbling and turn of pace on the ball was unbelievable.

Even his first season at Madrid version would easily be the best player in the world today. He got outshone by Messi and Barca for his peak years.

You could say Messi outshined him the whole his career. Without those CL he wouldn't even be close to Messi.

Ronaldos first season for RM was different than those others, he would just run at players and score goals(or just danger).
Got a serious injury in the last part of the season, and Barca won the title, so it was a forgettable season, but a very good one individually for Ronaldo.

So, trophies and individual efforts cant always be connected.

Strangest thing about that moment is whether Nani was truly offside? Look at where Piques feet are stretched.

His team in general. Ludicrous the number of pens they get which is magnified by VAR. To be fair it's not just Serie A. The Manchester clubs and ReaL Madrid have had a ridiculous number.

Interesting. People have been talking about the amount of penalties man utd, real Madrid and Juventus have had, especially after the restart. Is it just a coincidence, or is there some sort of unconscious bias, given all 3 are seen as the national club of their respective countries.

No, Serie A as a whole just gives more penalties than other leagues.
