Looking at the years from 2005-2007 he looked gifted as fuck but over the years he focused only on scoring and lost the other abilities. People who dont have watched him in his early United years often think he is only a training product.

He was a far better player from 2007 onwards even if was less of a winger.

Ronaldo looked different today as even though he scored a double he didnt had the fire in his eyes. I think he knew that this Juve team is hopeless and would be destroyed from City or Munich.

Time to show this guy some respect. Scored all of Juve?s KO goals in last two seasons.

NO.

Fuck this guy with his marketing machine pushing him from behind closer to Messi.

He came to Juventus , which won a bilion Serie A titles in a row before him , and the cup and whatever. They also played 2 CL finals in the past years before him.

With him , last year they went out vs a bunch of Ajax kids in the quarters and now vs some Lyon farmers in the last 16. He scored 6 last season and 4 goals now in the CL , while he was banging on average 13 a season at Real or whatever.

This not to mention that he was the 4th goalscorer last season in Italy, outscored by gramps Quagliarella and the 13-17th in Europe and this season he's been outscored even with his 12 penaldos by Dortmund reject Immobile.

He's been exposed.

The more I think about what Ritchie said the more I think he?s right.
Had this been Messi with Barcelona tonight the narrative would have been Messi failed to save his team. At least for a lot of people. Now I see praise everywhere for Ronaldo lol.

Exactly. Some of the same posters that praise Cronaldo or find excuses for him tonight in the quarters, against a 7th placed Ligue 1 team that hasn't played an official match in half a year, are the same that found Messi at fault for not getting past Liverpool last year in the semi finals.

I mean, it's probably normal to expect more from one of your players but it's ridiculous at this point.

Edit: not even the quarters

They've been a worse team since he signed, yet he was signed to help make the final step in CL.

Exposed?

Some of you lot have gone insane.

He is not a better player than Messi no matter the media says, but I thought this delirious foaming at the mouth would subside after he left Madrid....

I think it's just different perception because this came in the second leg.

''Cristiano Ronaldo has 67 career Champions League knockout stage goals.

The next two closest players (Messi and Muller) have 67 KO stage goals combined'' He loves to score Knockout goals.

I never understood the logic of blaming attackers for scoring goals.
Blaming the player who scored a teams every single knockout goal is beyond stupid.

Sure, you can make the argument that perhaps Juventus should have invested the money in better ways, but Ronaldo himself did what he was supposed to.
