unless ole can spawn the same black magic he's been using to keep his job, i doubt it

they're playing pogba as a DM next to fred/matic and their team relies on individual quality a lot

Yeah, I have big doubts, if this midfield can play well vs a good team. They will be exploited there.

Ole will play Fred instead of some attacking player and that's his option vs good teams. Not impressed. They need great midifelder, BADLY.

So, it was just a tap-in and a goalkeeper's howler is it?

People really do get blinded by hate and end up using twitter memes, eh? Look at the first goal, the moment Greenwood makes a shot no one but Ronaldo's moving to anticipate a possible rebound, it's the reason why he's the only there for the tap in. For the second goal, the pass is delivered not into his run but behind him, and yet he takes a perfect first touch bringing the ball into his path, setting up for the finish, and placing a powerful precise shot in between the keeper's legs. You might think it's a howler, but it's a common tactic amongst well known strikers specifically because goalkeepers take quite awhile to react and close down their legs due to their height. It's the reason why Lewa, Messi etc have so many nutmeg goals...

Like seriously you would think that after watching an entire season of Dembele and Braithwaite as strikers people here would appreciate all the little fantastic things world class players do on a regular basis. Place a Dembele in Ronaldo's exact position during those scenarios and those goals seize to exist.

You don't score over 700 goals by luck and goalkeeper howlers, mate.

Nice rant; keep 'em coming. But it is what it is, a tap-in and a shot that the keepers are taught to save in goal keeping 101. Not saying what he did was worthless or shit like that but it's just an observation that the English media has once again gone overboard in the praise

They're giving him rightful praise for scoring a brace in his second PL debut at age 36.

The 2nd goal was a class goal, the touch to bring it under control was WC the ball was played behind him & how he brought it into his stride wasn't something most players can do.

First was a tap in, but it is what it is, right place right time.

Yea, his movement and fitness are impressive considering he is nearly 37. If he shines in the EPL at this age, hats off to him, most players are long retired by now, or go and play into some easier league.

Messi is professional. He will give his best when wearing PSG colours. We can only hope his best will be enough to lift us to the glory we hope. Also, i'll have my fingers crossed he can evade injuries. PSG players often end up injured more than they did in their previous club.

Let's hope Messi scores in every game and you win diddly squat.

Nah, not true. He always gave a bit more effort with Argentina in terms of pressing etc. He simply cares more at this point for Argentina than Club level football, unless a huge club game.

Of course he cares more for Argentina. He plays for a minnow team in Ligue 1 UberEats. Everyone would care more about their national team in these conditions.

Nice dig at Messi there. You can't function properly without attacking Messi.

It was same with Barca too.

He cared for Barca. Maybe just got a bit sick with all the things that happened outside of the pitch, but i am sure he cared and cares much more for Barca than for QSG. Of course, he really wants that WC with Argentina and the Copa win gives him hope. Mind you, i don't think they will win it, but he'll give it a try.

Ronaldo went first to easier league Italy and didn't impress that much. His time with Juventue was very disappointing.

101 goals in 134 games isn't impressive? this literally defies logic.

He finished as league top scorer last year and took him just three seasons to take the two top spots of Juve's highest goal scorers in a single season.
