Because he returned to them after they finished 2nd and signed him, Sancho and Varane and have gone backwards. At the moment the last thing they'll remember from him is that he acted petulantly towards teammates, disrespected the fans and performed poorly in the league.

That doesn't take away from his achievements I'm just saying it harms his united legacy because the fans last memory of him could be that he wasn't good enough for them. Don't forget as well he is currently underperforming whilst taking time away from Manchester born and bred players that were playing well last season and as a result United were better than what they currently are. Local players are important to any team but especially to a club like United and us where our greatest teams came mostly from the academy

This isn't about shitting on Ronaldo, it's just stating what I can see from united fans and their attitude towards Ronaldo. He can turn it around 2nd half of the season.

Shit all you want. I'm not a fan of the guy.

Fans will forget easily 1-2 seasons when United were shite anyway.

Weird reply, couldn't have spelled out more what I mean. Very reasonable things I've said and even said he can turn it around. Also used phrases/words like "At the moment" and "might" because it's not a done thing.

A lot of "tv pundits" remarking though he is actually holding back Man U's building process. That's the discourse now. Don't know if true and how much better they would be doing without him in EPL at moment.
Can't hold it against Ronaldo though. Power to him for being able to play in European leagues for this long and he is still delivering at his age. But at least should set more of an example in behavior towards teammates. Seems at Juve a lot of teammates were relieved with him leaving.

That's on the idiots that believed Ronaldo's hype as a leader. Rarely do exceptional players(through sheer talent or determination) become good managers.

Ronaldo played his card with those shite speeches, but they don't mean anything anyway.

Just because they don't look capable of winning the CL or a relevant league title again doesn't mean it wouldn't add to their legacy if they did as the main man. If United would have won a PL and CL double this season with Ronaldo scoring 35-40, that would have added quite a lot to his legacy.

Discussion was about Ronaldo tainting his legacy. Not some shit heroics that fans expect. Like him turning around a shit United side into League or CL winners

Always hilarious how people love to focus on Messi's performance in a league that doesn't matter (does anyone care about Ligue uber eats?), but not CR7's no shows against any opposition in the upper half of the table and United's position as 7th in the vaunted EPL. I'm not expecting him to win the league (but hey, people who shit on Messi expect unrealistic things so many I should adopt the position of why the fuck isn't the "modern GOAT" leading United to top place) but by any metric, anything less than top 4 is unacceptable.

All he's proven so far by going to the toughest league in the world is that he's finished for top level trophies. And yes, he 99% would have gone the PSG route had Messi not beat him to it. He still might, after Mbappe is gone.

whatever you say, CR is at least actually challenging himself. all his career messi has not ever, not once, stepped outside his zone of comfort. very consistent for someone with a weak/pathetic/defeatist attitude. complete opposite of CR

Ronaldo has been awful, terrible acquisition by United. Yeah he has had some important goals but the dude for some reason is obsessed with playing as a winger, when he no longer has neither the pace or technique to play as one. He's absolutely dreadful to watch. United once again succumbed to nostalgia and set themselves back for quite a few years, because I honestly doubt they'll bin him after a year. Best thing they can hope for is Ronaldo decides to fuck off himself once United fails to qualify for the champions league, which will undoubtedly happen based on United's form.

Don't see Man Utd getting top 4 so a separation is best for both parties imo.

Very high chance English team wins CL or EL and fifth place makes it too. They will make it or have very good chance.

West Ham won't hold. The real fight is with Tottenham imo. It's not easy battle but I prefer ManU roster over Tottenham, but Tottenham coach over Manu.

If a club win the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League and finish in the top four, their qualification for the UCL through their league position is not transferred to another team. A maximum of five Premier League teams are eligible for UEFA Champions League qualification.

Only chance the EPL has 5 teams in CL next year is if West Ham win the EL or United win the CL, neither making top 4.

In the event that a Premier League club win the UEFA Champions League and another win the UEFA Europa League and neither of these clubs finish in the top four of the Premier League, the club lying fourth in the table will drop into the UEFA Europa League group stage.
