Big L if he goes to Saudis and ruined his image for it.

Keep in mind he doesn't actually have to stay in Saudi Arabia. He can play there for half a year and go on loan to an affiliate for example. If they'll take him on, which as it seems, few clubs would.

Beckham case is slightly different because of how European and MLS seasons fit together but he can pretty much try model himself on that.

Wonder what is Piers going to do if CR goes to SA. Calling him the GOAT for scoring vs Al Hilal is shameless even for a dickrider like him.

You're welcome

Why are you working out all the legal loops and technicalities for him? It's done. Go prepare your interview or something.

I've done it now. Thought went fairly well too. They finished with "we'll probably take you on" which is better than "thanks, now f off"

And CR case is interesting.
This forum itself can't help but talk about him unprompted. Kingleo dying to post in every thread and shout stuff from rooftops haha

ْCR7 was always a worthy rival of Messi, and denying him that actually takes away from Messi too.
But yes, it is beautiful we are in the winning side of this historical rivalry

I think it's the greatest rivalry in any sport, even if Messi is the clear winner.

You have:

1 x WC, 1 x Copa America, 4 x CL, 10 x LL, 7 Ballon D'Or, 6 European Golden shoe

vs.

1 x Euro Cup, 5 x CL, 7 leagues, 5 Ballon D'Or, 4 European Golden Shoe

Rafa - Djokovic is probably the only one that comes close

This rivalry had everything man, even from a marketing perspective.

One was European and the other was from SA
One was a tall, dark skinned (brown? not sure best word is) and the other was a white short kid.
One had insane physical profile who overpowers his opponents and the other was a skillful genius who makes impossible things looks simple.
One was a family oriented introvert, and the other was an egomaniacs womanizer
One was homegrown, semi-one club man, the other is a guy who makes moves for sake of his career.
One is Barca legend, the other is RM legend.

They were just the polar opposite, which added a lot to that rivalry

The only thing they shared is their competitiveness, worth ethic and durabilty.
They set themselves apart from every one of their generation, which was actually a generation full of legends that had to be in their shadows.

Rafa - Djokovic is probably the only one that comes close

I truly hate Tennis, so I am biased.
But football is just a different level of popularity worldwide AFAIK, that alone set such rivalry apart

Djokovic Nadal is a better rivalry.

Federer is like Pele/Jordan in terms of global impact and stuff.

In terms of marketability and fame, Federer is the biggest thing to come out of tennis by a countrymile.

Djokovic will have the statistics when he retires.

Imo Nadal's legacy will age worst of the 3 because of him being too clay based(a surface fans don't like). He neither has Federer's style or eye test nor Novak's statistical domination.
