Barca won the league by a record 15 points and now they've gone and bought Neymar. I can see Cristiano wanting to leave as he may think there's no point staying and not being able to compete. He is in the last years of his prime so in that sense a move to Utd would be perfect for him.

With one year of his contract left that could reduce his transfer value to 40-50M, meaning he could also get 40-50M signing on fee, which if from Monaco would again be tax free.
