Cristiano Ronaldo - v1

He's fast as shit but he relies too much on athleticism. People use his athleticism as an argument for him being better than Messi as if Messi were ridiculously slow and out of shape. Ronaldo will eventually lose his pace in a few years and will be a shadow of his former self. Even when Messi loses a step or two, he will still be incredibly effective due to his sheer skill in all areas of the game.

Calma, calma
The comparisons are a bit tiresome at this point.

I don't think Ronaldo will lose a significant amount of pace during his playing years. If he moves back to United or some other team that keeps good possession, there will be no need for him to rely on his pace. His finishing and movement are great, his crossing is good too - he will still be a very good winger. As he gets older, he will begin to improve on other aspects of his game too.

If i remember well, soccer is played using a ball, otherwise it is athletics and not soccer.
Running, change direction, stop,… always with the ball at no more than 5 cm from the feet, there are only two in the world: the playstation and guess who

then what ballesteros would have? 8.5?

It's bollocks obviously. It's not accurately 10.0 seconds at all and nowhere near 96 meters to begin with. Length of the Bernabeu is 105 meters from one byline to the other (pretty accurate, check Google Earth). He starts his run around the line of the 6 yard box and the clock is already showing 10 seconds when he hasn't even reached the 18 yard line. See here:

So it's more like 105 meters - (6 + 19 yards) = 82 meters. Might want to add 1 - 1.5 meters because he isn't running in a 100 % straight line. So around 83 meters is far more accurate. And of course not exactly 10.0 seconds. Could very well be 10.2 or 10.4 seconds. But not accurately 10.0. So let's assume it's 10.2 seconds and 83 meters. That would then equal 8.1 meters per second. Which equals around 12.4 seconds in 100 meters. Actually slower if we factor in that Ronaldo would considerably slow down after 80 meters. Which is still a good time for a guy who has played 77 minutes of football before. But nowhere near "96 meters in 10 seconds" what his fans are trying to suggest.
