If that's what you see, fine by me. I see a player that's the lead goalscorer in his league and also in the Champions League. If the amount of goals scored is not a sign of precision, I don't know what is.

If we are talking about the number of goals scored this season to determine who is better at the moment, haha, sure it is Ronaldo, because Messi was out for three months!

Messi scored more goals in 2014 so far than Ronaldo, does that matter?

And seriously, I really want to know why and how you think Ronaldo is better in terms of involvement in the team's offensive play. I am all ears.

And you think Messi won the Ballon d'Or four times because of his passing? Goals are the most important as far as individual trophies are concerned. And Ronaldo is running away with that stat. And is not like Ronaldo doesn't assist, he's one of Real's best at that chapter.

Not trying to discount the goals scored, but if you are simply saying the guy who scores the most goals is the best player at the monument, so be it, even though I disagree. But even by that standard, who is to say Ronaldo is scoring more goals than Messi and any other player at the moment?

Ronaldo does have decent number of assists, but not all assists are created equal.

Messi is a creator as much as he is a scorer, he actually offers a lot more for a team, however Ronaldo is one of the best finishers ever in football, the guy can score in every way and anywhere and whilst he doesn't offer as much to the team as a inform Messi, if you give service in any way to Ronaldo via the air or to his feet he will score, whereas the same cannot be said about Messi.

And if you'd ask people here, they would say that ronaldo's conversion rate is far below messi but they are close. The fact is that ronaldo takes a lot of shots from long range which most of the times hit the target and get saved by GKs. Him doing that and being slightly behind messi in accuracy is impressive. Again your statistic is not helping your point. For the fewer wild shots messi takes he should be a lot higher than 18% that is disappointing
