Cristiano Ronaldo - v1

Ronaldo had a better April than Messi did, that I will give it to you. I don't get those who claim he has been better than Messi all year long or all season long. Again, based on what do you say so? Short memory again? Only what the past several weeks matter, right?

More decisive like what? Better form like what?

After Ronaldo went out of today's game, he stood by the bench yelling and signalling while the rest of the guys on the bench looked bored. And Ancelotti just stood and watched. It was an interesting contrast.

Wtf someone needs to GIF that. He was probably wondering where Bale was.

Come to think of it, both Messi and Cristiano have had inferior performances when compared to past seasons... Those two guys have been crushing every single record for the past three or four seasons, that the burnout was just a matter of time...

It's remarkable that despite lowering their output this season, their numbers and influence are still that big...

Would he be disappointed with 1 league title in 5 years? La Decima will go along way to improving that but had he stayed at Manchester he may have a bigger haul of trophies.

even probably the CL against us? They would have standed a fair chance if he was still at Utd and we were playing a defense containing Masch!

Ronaldo just set a record for the most goals scored in a CL campaign. That does not look like a burnout to me. Messi, yes, hasn't been in his best form. But he can bounce back, as there's still more than half a year left.

No. That 2011 team of ours was a machine.

While Messi has been the one on the one leading, you can't dismiss Cristiano just because he finished second... He has been constantly trying to catch up to Messi, and that also causes burnout...

btw, since he's already 29, it will be interesting to see how he plays as a 30+ player. He's a curious one, ronaldo. I had him pegged down as an athletic lunkhead who would totally implode once age catches up, but i'm not so sure anymore. he seems to be smart and disciplined (and not least of all EVIL!!!) enough to adjust his gameplay. :eusa_think:
