Cristiano Ronaldo - v1

I wonder why he is only judged upon his goals? shit game+ tap in/penaldo= goat performance.

Yeah, it can get a bit annoying. I think it's because unlike Messi, who can get criticism even after scoring a brace in a game, Ronaldos main job is to score goals and if he scores one, that's at least considered a decent performance in the eyes of the media and his fans. Messi can get ripped to pieces here on the forum after games where he only scored one goal if some of his passing was off or he was dispossessed a couple of times attempting a dribble.

The other day I was saying how far away he is from Leo's level, irritated by someone who said that they are both extremely talented...he looks so average to me, in fact very clumsy on many occasions.
Shouldn't be put in the same sentence with Leo, never ever.

Ronaldo isn't one of the greatest, I've seen many like him.. But what are you getting on about?

If a guys name isn't Messi then he is average be it Cristiano or neymar or whatever... Wtf do u know about anything

Some of you make it out to be like he is shit in every game.

Exactly

Guy is still really good. Will be remembered by many. Anyone that is anyone will tell you he is an excellent player

The butthurt Messi fans tend to bash CR in this thread and make excuses for him in the Messi thread. Good reading.

I'm Messi fan, and this has nothing to do with it. I simply don't understand why comparing this guy, to one sheer brilliance of footballer like Messi.

The guy's a machine, always dangerous and scores in every game basically. He's a dick in love with himself but who cares. Always will be in the shadow of Messi in my eyes though.

More of a celebrity than a footballer but besides Messi nobody is coming close to him.

In what terms? Dribbling, vision, passing?
Overall impact on the game. Movement. Finishing.

Passing and vision aren't his pros definitely.

21 goals in 14 games...damn

...and 6 penalties. God knows how many dives, unsuccessful shots and failed dribbles. How many assists? 5, 6?
Overall impact is such that RM could do just fine w/o him. If he was surrounded with not such a great team, his figures would go down drastically.

Of course they can do fine w/o him because they are a team and not dependent on a single individual.

Pathethic argument this one...can be said about everyone basically...

Penalties aren't goals? Still lot more than everyone else not taking them into account.

I don't claim he's a superhuman, light years behind Messi but the gap between him and the rest is huge.
