Cristiano Ronaldo - v1

Complain about diving and bring up Robben as your argument. OK.

The gap's still big, nothing changed

They both dive, OK. So we can set that aside.
Gap is NOT huge, now fuking way! In many ways they are similar, but big plus is that Robben is much better dribbler then he is and has better control when in full speed.
There's no way that gap is huge...if there's gap at all.

I don't see this Robben's superiority over Ronaldo in control at all... Cristiano doesn't have problems operating in tight spaces or beating players 1v1 if this is your point.

Never mind, I quit. :)
You already lost at the very beginning...even if Robben has better control on the ball it doesn't make him a better player...

Ronaldo will deservedly pick up his third ballon d'or in January

No you got this wrong. I didn't quit because I'm out of arguments, but because I'm too lazy to even bother.
In my head, you're still wrong in thinking that he's far above anyone else. About that frikin ball, I stopped caring last year
after he won it without any merit. That was pure circus.

Ronaldo 10 games - 18 goals, 5 assists, 2.8 key passes per game
Messi 11 games - 7 goals, 7 assists, 3 key passes per game
Robben 6 games (1 sub) - 4 goals, 2 assists, 3 key passes per game

WhoScored

Clear as day.

He will pick it up for RM's team effort and Ramos' last minute goal against Atlético. Cristiano is a great player but RM's incredible offense makes him seem better than he actually is; they're on track to score a lot more goals than in their record season. Apart from his goal scoring instinct and movement in the box he is not among the best players in the world, but of course goals count more than anything, especially to the press.

Messi had a below-average year and his finishing is very off at the moment so even though he nearly led his NT to the World Cup title, CR will probably get it, but that doesn't mean he deserves it more. His stats benefit from RM just like Messi's stats suffer from Barça this year.

What the hell is this nonsense. In 2014?
