Cristiano Ronaldo - v1

Speaking of Modric, will he be ready for El Clasico?

According to Ancelotti yes, he's already practicing with the squad and running, though we all know coming back from an injury takes time to recover the best level, they're seeing that with Jesé for example, James it's a short pause, but Modric, I have doubts it'll be just plug&play ..

I actually haven't seen him play much (only started watching RM this season bcause of James) so i wouldn't know, but from what I read he's the absolute mastermind behind RM superiority ^^

If he regain his best form he can take the record, but i think he will end up with 45 or so.

Well that's just it, its no good if he regains his best form as he is also relying on this team-mates, he needs them to regain their best form too.

How many penaldo did he score in la Liga this season ?

If he can get another half a dozen Penaldo's (he'll probably get more) then he needs a goal a game from open play which he's capable of in his best form in this team.

The Penaldo's heavily inflate his goal record and it'll be a travesty if he breaks Messi's record courtesy of 15-20 penalties. The nearer he gets then the more he'll spend the game goalhanging.

The most hard hitting evidence you need for his legendary status as The Penaldo.

It's odd how if Benzema took PK's it would be:

Benzema-23 (+10)
Cristiano-21 (-9)
Bale-9 (-1)
James-8

I don't really see the value in the goal tally obsession, but I'm curious of how people would be viewing the contributions of Benz/Cristiano if he were to have simply been chosen to take PK's. Because it generally seems to be a completely narrow focus on the numbers without any context. I'm curious if it would still be that way in this alternative reality. Would Benz be crowned king?

If Bale/James took penalties, then they'd be just a few goals away too. Assuming they'd score all of them.

I think people are missing the point, instead of contesting what would Ronaldo's goal tally be without penalties, we should really be asking why are Real Madrid getting this absurd amount of them in the first place. I wonder how many of those were actually legitimate.
