It's odd how if Benzema took PK's it would be:

Benzema-23 (+10)
Cristiano-21 (-9)
Bale-9 (-1)
James-8

I don't really see the value in the goal tally obsession, but I'm curious of how people would be viewing the contributions of Benz/Cristiano if he were to have simply been chosen to take PK's. Because it generally seems to be a completely narrow focus on the numbers without any context. I'm curious if it would still be that way in this alternative reality. Would Benz be crowned king?

It's not like they would score all of them,hell they'd probably miss a lot. Ronaldo is probably the best penalty taker in the world atm.

Miss a lot? Every good attacking player could easily reach a converting ratio of about 75-80%. Ronaldo probably has around 90%, missing 1 in 10 attempts or so. Benzema would miss 2/10 maybe.

You must be the one that's joking because if Balotelli was that good maybe he would take penalties at Liverpool.
Ronaldo is in second place with 87 % and Balo is first with 93 %. But you can't even compare that because Balotelli only took 30 while Ronaldo took 90 penalties. For example balotelli scored his first 26 penalties but he missed 2 last season. There is no way in hell that his ratio would stay over Ronaldo's 87 % if he took 60 more penalties. If you wanna compare it differently then Balo has a 93 % ratio from 28 PK goals while Ronaldo has 93 % ratio from 45 PK goals(RM days,take a look at the latest chart I posted). Don't you agree?

Balo is great at PK's but there's only one Penaldo.
