Cristiano Ronaldo - v1

Where have I made out his goals were from nothing?

Its nothing like 90% down to his team mates. It is a two way thing Ronaldo makes the most of what his team mates provide.

Look at the attacking players that have come and gone from Real - Di Maria, Ozil etc.

Ronaldo made them better than they made him.

If you are a creator it must be a dream to have Ronaldo upfront, Øzil and Di Maria will never find a more effective target for their passes/crosses, as is proven.

Lol cmon mate...He is amazing striker these days (and we had argument already about that), but as far as a build up play, playmaking and dribbling he is not worth a shit. That cross from Coentrao was perfect, and he was absolutely unmarked. He gets credit for creeping in the 5 yard box, Coentrao for sublime cross that Alves wouldn't be able to provide in million years.

He was unmarked due to his movement and reacting quicker than anyone else to where the ball was going.

I have never claimed his game on ball is brilliant, so not sure what your point is there.

He just waits for someone to set him up instead of taking the ball himself. Hes nowhere near Messi class but he is still a good player.

I dont get the hype about him.

Apparently he stormed through the press zone after the game saying he wont speak until the end of the season.

This could be another Ronaldo drama where he wants to feel loved.

With his age and apparently declining performances could see the fans not taking his side this time round.

I can't take anything away from his goals today, both of them were well read and just basically defines what a great goal scorer he is, but he is becoming more and more service dependent from others like a few of you have mentioned, no matter how many goals he scores, there's no way he can compete in his current form against leos current form, the two are just completely different now and if Leo doesn't slack off he will continue being the best.

Saying that for the millionth time is not going to change anything. How are people not tired of this argument yet?

I will surely take his side, he is the best attacker we have, simple as that. Ok, so he isnt exactly the most likable person in the world, big deal.

He had one dribble, but he did try to press and work, he was visible angry about something. Dunno if its press, fans or their play but he isn't talking to press anymore...

And I only talk about Ronaldo because it really gets on my nerves these "Ronaldo carried us on his back" "Most complete player in the world" when he didnt do anything like that but scoring two good goals that where are his teammates credit as much as his own. KJH on the other hand scored two goals (one absolute screamer) and was POTM but aint no body talking about his "completeness".

Ronaldo is just a scorer, Messi is in different level..Ronaldo needs service from his teammates to score goals and he cant dribble :coffee:
