It was a great finish, but no amazing volley or goal like some made it out to be here. Sloppy marking on the corner while just standing still watching the ball go in from the Sociedad players. No one even tried to intercept the ball. If this is an amazing Ronaldo goal then the expectations are really at an all time low.

Of course it was a amazing goal, you heavily underestimate the technical quality it takes to hit the ball that comes out of the air while running and leaning backwards with your weak foot and guide it in to the corner of the goal from 15 meters or so. That's the reason why a lot of people are praising Cristiano's goal.

It was a good goal, took quite a bit of technique to get that one right.
