Him thinking he is 'charismatic and good looking' highlights his delusion and the fact that he doesn't understand how much the media and being famous exaggerates these qualities in some men.Even as an admirer, the "apetitive fruit" part was so cringeworthy. Had second hand embarrassment watching it. 😬
He's always been a very cringeworthy individual, ever since he became famous, to be fair.Everything about him since leaving Madrid is cringeworthy to be honest
Respect your take.Him thinking he is 'charismatic and good looking' highlights his delusion and the fact that he doesn't understand how much the media and being famous exaggerates these qualities in some men.
He has zero charisma - he comes across as a complete cunt, isn't particularly funny or witty, has no cool way about him. Most people agree with me too.
And even in this video he looks absolutely awful and weird. His looks are better than his charisma, but still, for him to talk like he has the charisma of Ryan Gosling and looks of Henry Cavill is absolutely insane and shows how deluded/low IQ he is, and how he doesn't understand the celebrity effect or the benefits of fame in general
Fair enough, I respect what you said there too.Respect your take.
Here's mine:
What Gosling has is charm, not charisma. He's moderately charismatic but very smooth and charming.
Charisma in Hollywood is Tom Cruise and it's not even close. His presence is insane and he captures the audience's attention like no other. No wonder he's the most successful. Even people who hate him go: "God! He's such a movie star!"
Talking about Ronaldo, I'd say he definitely had immense swagger and showmanship in his peak. He looked really cool on the pitch and his style was copied by millions of fans. Don't know about charisma though. Football players are simply not charismatic like politicians and movie stars are. Footballers are boring robots off the pitch. Managers are ones with charisma. Mourinho and Klopp are the 2 most charismatic managers ever.
Ishowspeed and Donald Trump are hated by most people but you can't deny that they both have charisma.
Ronaldo is male gaze completely. His looks massively appeal to the LGBTQ community and dudes.By the way, in general straight guys are completely clueless about who women find attractive. I am one of the ones who can take myself out of myself and see the female gaze, but most cannot.
To give an example, I used to know this 55-year-old guy. He was adamant that 80 percent of women loved Ronaldo (though he was a Man United 'fan' and clearly loved him as a footballer and person for that reason).
Another time he got fed up of me laughing at his Beckham love, and I told him lots of women wouldn't even look twice at Beckham if he wasn't famous. So to prove me wrong, he phoned his gf and asked her what she thinks of Becks (absolute cuck behaviour, but still). He expected her to say Beckham was god's gift, but his gf actually said that she and most of the women in her office didn't think Beckham was anything special and wouldn't have any interest in him if he was just a regular guy. This guy looked shocked and hurt, and a few months later said his girlfriend only said that to appease me, even though she had never even met me.
This is how clueless straight guys are - yeah plenty women like Beckham, I am sure a good amount like Ronaldo too (though you cannot overlook their fame and money in exaggerating their popularity). But there are probably more that don't like them (especially when you factor in personality) yet straight guys think Ronaldo and Beckham are loved by 95 percent of women minimum. Laughable.
Guys like Brad Pitt and Henry Cavill are multiple levels above Beckham and Ronaldo as far as blond or dark-haired men go.
Yes, Ronaldo is male gaze for sure, mostly because of his height and body and his cuntishness, not his face.Ronaldo is male gaze completely. His looks massively appeal to the LGBTQ community and dudes.
Beckham is male and female gaze. Generally, most people acknowledge that he's an attractive man. That's why he has been so successful in the US as a pure celebrity.
Pitt and Cavill are also appealing to both the male and female gaze obviously.
Ronaldo doesn't have charisma. But I wouldn't call him a charisma vacuum either. Has the charisma of a normal dude who's confident and good at a sport. Nothing to shout about.Fair enough, I respect what you said there too.
There will always be a debate about whether charisma and charm are the same thing, or different. I understand what you mean - Gosling has gift of the gab and a way about him (charm) whereas Cruise has presence as you say, captures attention (charisma). He's not necessarily charming with women (not saying he is not either) but he has charisma. The same way Gosling couldn't be a cult leader probably (charisma) but could talk some women into bed (charm). I guess you could argue charisma is an extention of charm.
The thing about Ronaldo on the pitch is I don't consider that charisma. That comes from his high level of ability, which has nothing to do with charisma. If he was just a regular player at a regular club and still looked and acted the same he'd have nowhere near the level of attention - true charm or charisma works even with a low level of exposure.
I wouldn't say Speed has charisma. He just comes across as a knob, not particularly funny, witty or intelligent. I dislike Trump strongly but, yes, he has charisma. So half-agree with with that sentence.
Anyway, this is all I will say here as I don't wanna take the thread off topic when it's meant to be about him as a footballer (though you are the one who started it).
Facts, if you watch his interviews from different eras, he's always been cringe when speaking. The way he speaks and delivers was never alluring, but blindfolded fans will act like everything he says is charismatic And then there's the leadership myth about him. Guy has dozens of moments where he goes nuts because other teammates stole a goal off him, so much for being a leader. He's arguably the biggest narcisist in football history, which hardly makes him likeable in many people's eyes. He's always been a very cringeworthy individual, ever since he became famous, to be fair.
He has a weird face and a weird personality. Lots of much more talented people in football history too.
I cannot see the attraction either as a footballer (despite him clearly being an excellent player) or in looks and personality. He's ridiculously flattered by his clueless fanboys. I have never met a woman who likes him, it's always creepy in the closet men.
I don't like Messi, I have told you this before. I have no liking for him as a person, I just love him as a footballer. And yes, he comes across as quite boring, but I would suggest that's the way he likes it.Ronaldo doesn't have charisma. But I wouldn't call him a charisma vacuum either. Charisma vacuum or zero charisma would be Messi and if you're objective you should be able to agree with this, even if you like the guy. He's just extremely shy and awkward in public and just doesn't know how to act normal off the pitch.
Speed has that quality where he can entertain a crowd and capture their attention easily while entertaining them. He has zero anxiety socially and that is literally his modus operandi and claim to fame. You can be charismatic and annoying at the same time. Donald Trump is hardly likeable.
Yeah he has no charm or charisma really, in fact the way he behaves indicates a high level of insecurity and autism, which ironically is what Tempt says Messi is (and he might be right).Facts, if you watch his interviews from different eras, he's always been cringe when speaking.
