Another great post,

Laporta is part of our success in 00's. Of course he's not the mastermind behind it, but at the end of the day he's the main guy who picked the right people for the job. Rosell also should be praised as he was the main reason in bringing Ronaldinho through Nike connections. Going for Cruyff and Txiki was a smart move, sticking with La Masia culture.
Being the president of a club is the most ungratifying job, in usual, because it involves politics. And politics are unpopular when there are no results. Laporta carries most of the negatives from that era.
Second stint Laporta is different. I don't have the trust in him say I had circa 2006 or 2009, some call it apologism, I say it's tolerance, the club is not in good health. There are some minor bumps down the road as
@serghei mentioned, but they are not fatal. Finances is a thing I give pass to Koeman and Xavi, and Flick as the honeymoon is over. You can't manage a club that is restricted financially and there's demand for glory. This is not Man United, where's no excuse financially.
Laporta is selling/loaning long term minor club assets like stadium name, media rights and VIP boxes to keep Barca compliant within La Liga rules. Is it the right move? Of course not, it looks weak. But it's one of the few moves available. I don't think alternatives like Font could produce much better results. We either sell the club completely to Saudis or have socios system that repays Barto's debts well into 2060s.
