And Evra is apparently leaving. But he has also been a shadow of his former self and is quite old now (nearly 30 years) and lost a lot of peace IMO.

But who else is there? Lahm is not good enough IMO and too expensive. van der Wiel?

I know most people here dont like him, but van der Wiel would be the perfect replacement for Alves.

I wonder how much longer he can play on this level. His role and and style as well are extremely physically demanding. He is at the top of his game right now, but the question is, will his speed and intensity start to decrease rapidly? Maybe our medical and coaching staff know something about this...

However, if he is able to keep this level of play for some time, he definitely deserves 6 mil. IMO. He's a unique player with no obvious replacement. But if he's THAT much of a moneywhore, then GTFO and good luck.
