Sliiight exaggeration Gingerless but look at his build. He is a runner through and through all he has to do is avoid getting maimed to continue running (because that's essentially what he does).i really can't see him run like this past 30 years old let alone 40s

This is how I see it
1) Dani Alves is the Best RB in the world
2) He should be paid on the level of the best
3) Dani alves brings another dimension to the team that not too many will be able to bring.... I remember two years ago, he was creating plays from RB in a preseason game against an mls team. The man is class.
4) We have recovered nicely from eto but i don't think it will be that easy from this one. There isn't a RB in world football that will be able to replace him at Barca.....
Verdict: Rossell , stop cying and sign him already........we don't need that type of distraction .... let's leave that for RM.......

All the Alves to City stuff is originating from Spain, it's just Alves trying to get a better contract and the city link is to scare Barca into giving him what he wants.

I doubt anyone is going to pay 50M for Alves but it keeps looking more likely he's dunzo at the Nou Camp. I'd be sad to see him go, think he adds a lot to this team on offense and defense and mentality, but if he's not happy being on the same pay scale as Puyol, Pique and Valdes then what more can Rossell offer the guy? The only players paid more would be Messi, Xavi, Iniesta and David Villa. Plus he will never be as effective and used as well as in Barca.
If that problem with the money issue is true he already pissed on the whole barca club. If he would have been a real barca player he would not dare to do such disrespectful, honorless shit - so f**k you, if true.

OK, so apparently City wants Alves, a lot.
How about accepting Alves as a summer transfer, in partial payment for their player who would really fit better at Barca? He has expressed his unhappiness with City and with cold England (since revoked). Barca could throw in Bojan and Jeffren, as well.
I can't thing of any forward not with Barca now who would fit in better than Tevez. Constantly rotate Messi, Villa, Pedro and Tevez. Maybe experiment every once in a while with Tevez or Messi at attacking midfielder, when Iniesta needs a rest.
