Daniel Alves

To me it just seems like he hasn't had the same impact offensively that he used to (when he used to provide assists to Messi). It just seems like lately there isn't the usual swagger in his game. It could be because of the great job that other teams are doing at denying our players space. I just don't see the usual Danny that used to really terrorize defenders.

some of the crosses he put behind the defence were just absolutely sublime. and that tackle he made at the end of first half :worthy:

very good game by Dani, but it seems he's better when Pedro comes to the right flank. has more understanding with him than Alexis.

still a boss anyway but he looks weird with his shirt tucked into his shorts

Why have we never tried Alves at CB? He's quick, superbly skilled with the ball at his feet and he's actually very good defending 1 on 1. That one perfect tackle from behind against the Granada striker showed it again. Pique couldn't have managed a tackle like that if he wanted. While we're experimenting with players like Song at the back, why not with Alves? He might surprise us.

Or am I just being desperate now? :pep:

desperate you are not saying nothing, he doesnt have the things to be a center back firstly the height he is just too short and ok he have not very good but pretty defending but dont forget that he is mostly attacking minded i wouldnt have tried it dragging the best right back in the world out of position and certainly at center back
