Its Mascherano isn't it

"The goal is to get better each game. I think the team are ready for everything. If in May we get to play finals, the team will be ready. The greatest thing about this side is that when they need to, they respond. The years go by but things have not changed – we still want to win and that philosophy will continue."
I remember the announcement when he was coming to the club as a new signing in 2008, I had no idea what would come next for the club in terms of it's success but I knew we were getting an immense talent...Truth is, I miss his Sevilla days a great deal - despite how much his game has evolved at Barcelona, he was a uniquely lethal player at Sevilla during that time....I remember quite well thinking I hadn't seen a defender I feared more as an opponent, on both ends of the pitch...Then there was the Chelsea deal that thankfully never materialized - I guess we can at least thank the always difficult Del Nido for that one
But more than how incredibly invaluable he's been as a marauding RB and linkup with Messi, he's given perhaps even more to the club/team as a personality with indisputable character...shattering the lingering doubts about Brasilians imploding due to success after the Ronaldinho demise...I have no doubt that his will to win & colorful personality was a vital ingredient for the team's psyche, no doubt that it gave the players a spark on the pitch...I think about a person who also went through a divorce that is always difficult and yet still worked with his ex as his agent...The player who took Abidal's number, nevermind offered him part of his organs..Dani's contributions are immeasurable really
His interviews are always excellent and come from the heart...And just when you think he's past it, he'll put in yet another MOTM performance...It's going to be a dark day when he leaves the club because they are legendary boots to fill
Smartly enough, Scolari recognizes this greatness as well and never deviates from using Alves similar to how he's been used at Barcelona
I'm a big fan...and I continue to hold out hope his crosses will get more consistent
Holy fucking shit... how many injuries is that now?
