I thought he did okay last night. Lyonnais did a great job closing down our right side (obviously wise), so there wasn't exactly much space for either Messi or Alves.. He's crosses was not as good as usual though.

Lyon was our equal in many departments because they too played a 4-3-3, had they played with less wingers Alves would have made an impact but he was kept busy.
