Daniel Alves

If he stayed on his feet he'd probably be more consistent! We can't doubt his work rate but he is poor all over the pitch and his crossing has been all over the place. I can't stand the diving! I'm one of the few Barca fans who probably thought he deserved his yellow for his cheating!

His mistakes are costing the team and they have to work much harder to recover from most of his mishaps (which Swedish player is in a similar situation now?).

I think your comment has echoed my sentiment exactly! Nothing more can be said about his commitment which is probably the most important thing, but it's his ability and consistency day in, day out which are unremarkable! The diving is absolutely attrocious and I was angrier about him doing that than the terrible refereeing in both legs. It's not in the spirit of La Blaugrana. He needs to be reminded of who he represents. That's not himself in a Culé shirt!

Tell me about it! We haven't been seeing much of the out-of-this-world understanding & passing between Messi & Dani on the right flank.

-He's the best defence Brazilian player at the moment. No Maicon or Cicinho, just ALVES(H)!

That's a clearly biased statement you're making there, I think the encounter against Inter pretty much showed Maicon is a better player than Alves...also if you're talking about the whole defense, you can't leave out Lucio and Juan who's been on form for Roma lately. And then there's Julio Cesar

Yeah, Maicon is more stronger and higher than Dani Alves, but Dani Alves can do the assists that Maicon can't do.
Maicon is an brazilian, and he score a goals, whereas Dani Alves don't know to score;D.

bytheway: What a hell is doing Alves in training?

Alves is fitter, the guy never stops running., id also say hes a better attacker slightly, but Maicon is better, no doubt...

I'd say the same thing about Alves attacking wise is slightly better,he is played higher up for certain Selecao games and Barca too obviously as we have seen, but for ticking all the attributes that make a perfect RB, Maicon fits the bill.

I'd say Maicon is better even attacking-wise as his delivery is more consistent and he's a better dribbler. But I agree Alves is fitter, he runs up and down the pitch like a mad dog, and he's a better free kick taker too I guess.
