You know what "supposedly" means? I worded it like that because I didn't take the snapshot from the video and can't vouch for its credibility. It's apparently from El Chiringuito, and I have no idea how trustworthy they are.

The gif clearly shows what looks like a bite though, so it would make sense for there to be a mark on his arm if it really happened.

It would. I'm not denying it. But as far as I know there's no proof in the match reports, Mandzu didn't seem to feel it (or he wasn't bothered?) and who knows what will FIFA do with that.

I'd suspend him, get him a reality check. He'll get lectured by Carlo anyway.

Quelle indignation! where was all the outrage when Ribery slapped Carvajal, a player 10yr his junior. Did the former even get sanctioned for it? I'm glad the kid has toughened up, and can respond if need be. Good for him, I say.

As for Mandžukić, he's no successor to D.Costa, who was a bigger and better proposition in both football terms and gamesmanship. And if reports are to be believed, Cholo doesn't like him much either, hence the search for a replacement. No place for mediocrity at LL's top.
