worst part is that Real dont even need him, im pretty sure if we had prime Alves and it was Bayern or United wanting him they wouldnt have moved in their current situation.

Nah, I think Carvajal will still be their starter. That's the most infuriating thing of all. They don't really need him but buy him whereas we need him but just sit back and chill.

Maicon was never as good as Alves at his best, but I agree being a Maicon is not a bad thing. Danilo looks like a good solid RB and we could have definitely used him, but at €40M he would have cost us? Hard to swallow. Though he's young. Lot to be said for investing in young talent, even if that investment is costly at first. Chance for high return.
