David De Gea

We are the losing party no doubt about that, he's fucked us royally. However, the best of two options available to us is to keep him for the next year. You're not dealing with a small club here, the money means very little to us. Another season on recovering from the fallout of losing Sir Alex we'll be in a much better position to let him leave. Makes no sense to sell him.

Well there is couple of great keepers in the market from Ajax keeper to Ospina who Wenger is dumb enough to get Cech and bench him... Valdes is a great keeper too you just didn't get him enough time... of course you can keep him for a year and play with your main keeper unhappy and unmotivated counting the minutes to keep .. not the type of scenario you want (applies to us in Ramos case too albeit he has 2 full years in his contract and he is 29 already ) ..

As we should. Practically our best player.

I dont believe so, either you pay the valuation or wait a year. Almost certain youll pay it too another year of Casillas...we should of asked for £50 million

Iker who won the CL a year before & took us to the CL semi-final and close to winning la liga ?? you make me feel Iker is some rubbish keeper we picked from the street.. as i said for me i'd love to have the De Gea for free in a year.. your evaluation is poor man's bluff.. you don't bluff with your play running out of contract.. ask Dortmund

Probably couldnt give a damn losing him for a free in a year, 20-30M is nothing for United and a season of a GK like him is worth that.

Can Madrid afford another season of Iker in between the sticks? Could they have a transfer ban? It's not all rosy for Madrid on the other side, there's serious pressure to catch up with Barca.

Anyway, AS reports aside, apparently no bids have gone in and United are sticking to their 50M Euros valuation.

With Iker & Navas ? sure we can afford no just a year but 2 years... United can do what they want with their evaluation if he stays by December Valdes would be replacing the unmotivated De Gea... and since we do care now about the FFP i do prefer to save money and get him for free summer 16.. as for the ban.. see the below answer
What happens if you're put under a transfer embargo by FIFA? You're under investigation, your club itself confirmed it.

Transfer embargo IF it happens and we (and that is in no way offensive ) don't have the same novice board so i doubt anything will happen ,we can still appeal and sign De Gea for free in January.. all he need to do is sign the papers in the winter ( the magic 6 month before contract ends ) and he will be included in the summer 16 window with or without an embargo however with FIFA having their hands full i don't expect anyone to do anything before a new FIFA president is elected ;)

All roads for us is winning roads.. i prefer i take him for free and use the money elsewhere .. Navas & Iker are two great keepers and i'd like to see Navas gets his chance this year before we get De Gea .. the losing side will always be United who will lose their best player for free.. we have nothing to lose at all

Totally forgot about victor valdes. United are in good hands with him, and can afford to sell de gea now, looking for a replacement while valdes gives another couple of good seasons.

That is a risk, but I think if nothing else he is at least professional enough to not let his game drop. It might put RM off signing him afterall.

If you had the choice of either selling Ramos to us and buying De Gea or both teams keep their player which would you choose? I get the feeling Madrid fans would be massively annoyed if you sold Ramos. Personally I'd rather keep De Gea and not buy Ramos, although if we do sell him then Ramos would be a good consolation prize of course. Take it as an hypothetical though as I fully appreciate it's likely to be us losing De gea and not signing Ramos.

Man i doubt De Gea is all that.... some players just look good in the EPL ...

There is no question i want Ramos to stay his importance is 10 times the importance of signing De Gea which i feel it's just to keep the tradition of having Spain no 1 keeper (In the future ) from Real

Is it impossible to have a discussion on here without people slagging off the Premier League? It's why I stopped posting in here in the first place. The Premier league is obviously a high level league and everybody knows that (at least anybody able to discuss objectively), just like La Liga is. But yeah, he probably just looks good because there are no good attacking players in the Premier League, eh?

You crack on, I'm logging off for a couple of years again.

Cheers bud and there are some good posters here too. I just end up getting annoyed though with the anti-Premier League agenda which always seems to creep in. I've no idea why people can't post without needing to add snide digs.

It depends on when you're banned and whether a possible CAS case happens before or after the Summer transfer window.

And you're wrong. In January, De Gea is free to sign a pre-contract with any team, but he's still registered as a MANCHESTER UNITED player. If in any case you're barred from registering players next summer then you won't be able to register him to your team regardless of that pre-contract. You sign a deal with a player to transfer him to your club in 6 months, but you don't actually register him then. The registration to FIFA's system happens when that player has left his club and joined you.

Who gives a fuck what he wants. If Real Madrid want him they can pay the price we want, otherwise they wait and get him on a free. He's massively underrated on here and personally I hope we reject any offer and keep him for the next year. Whatever fee we get for him, even £30 million, is nothing to United. His performances are something though. If the fucker wanted to be in Madrid so much then he should have stayed at his 'home' club. So now, for the next 12 months at least, he leaves on our terms.

Hmm I think it would be wiser to do the opposite. Try to milk Madrid as much as you can, the further you go the more desperate they get.. Because right now you have a Valdes who is still in pretty ok age so you can have in play for a year before you carefully pick out which goalkeeper would suit you the best!

I'm all for busting PL myths and all that, but how could you make a case like that against De Gea? He's a goalkeeper.

It's worth noting that he was impressive at Atletico too.

Easily United's best player, will be pretty bad for United if Valdes coming back from a one year injury has to replace him.

You're not thinking logically, he'll still be registered as United player and therefore signing a pre contract with Madrid 6 months prior pretty much means nothing.

Also, you an unmotivated De Gea? It's Euro 16 next year, he'll want to be Spain's número uno for that and thus he'll need to be in top form and will be sufficiently motivated.

You talk of Casillas like he's 24 again, you mention him winning the CL last season when he managed a cock up of incredible proportions only to be bailed out by Ramos (who you'll no doubt turn on soon enough if he leaves, if you haven't already done so) and ADM. Then you mention he got to the SF this season, and again I put your departure from the tournament down to him as a better keeper should have saved that shot. De Gea sure as hell would have. And for 'almost' winning La Liga, I mean seriously, was that even worth typing?

I'd LMAO at a Madrid transfer ban starting next summer. To see them panic spend and over pay ok biblical proportions, will have me in stitches endlessly.

Van Gaal said he is still injured and won't play tonight, yet he looks fine in the training pictures and went asked about the injury van gaal refuses to elaborate.

He also said Ramos is in the process. Just like Di Maria last week. But surely now with casilla coming in and Navas getting #1 then it won't happen this year?

So confusing.
