Well if we do, I'll just be happy we're not chasing some over the hill garbage from Arsenal like Vermaelen. I was terrified we were going to put in a bid for Mertesacker for a while there.

Nah, after Umtiti, Marlon (yes, he's not proven yet in first team but I believe he has a future with us) and possibly even Bueno I have a full faith in Robert abilities to find us another young talented CB. We've been linked to only younger CBs over the last year so I'm not affraid we'll go for the likes of Mertesacker anymore. Of course we could miss with whoever we sign as our next CB as there is no guarantee he'd be successfull (probably also because most people will expect he'll have a similar immediate impact as Umtiti and will be disappointed if he'll have troubles to adapt in his first year) and I don't know most of those CBs we are connected to well enough but from what I've seen they all seem to talented. Hopefullly we'll again strike the gold like we did with Umtiti.

I don't think Mina would work for Barça. Davinson really seems a better choice.

They both lack brain to play here, but yeah, Davinson is really a better choice if we had to chose and playing for Ajax should be of some help...
Mina is hyped by his ability to score, because the guy has a thunderous header, but other than that I don't see him making it here... He suffers from a severe case of Ramositis

Robert going by past statements by Miguel Rico, didn't watch Yerry much or not even at all. He was scouted out by our South American scouts who saw a lot of potential in him. Well that was back in October, so since then I believe Robert got around to watching him at least a couple of times.
Yerry, is a bit different to what the CB's Robert has signed/followed, but he's a interesting one though.

There's Marlon too, but I think he'll get loaned out which is why it would be nice if Girona manage to get promoted. Local team from Catalunya that plays good football.
It depends on Mathieu and Mascherano. Been rumors about Mascherano wanting to move even if it doesn't make much sense in a WC year, although he might want to be an outright starter. Mathieu could contribute as a 4th CB, but doubts about him managing to complete an entire season due to injuries and such might force Robert's hand.

Should have signed him for 5m and loaned him out instead of insisting he should join Barca B which is why he rejected us in the summer
We didn't insist on anything. We offered him Barca B ,he rejected,offered him loan,he rejected,offered him 1st team spot eventually and he still rejected.
Roberto has done everything to get the guy, he seem to be his biggest fan. In a way that might worry me actually

He's smart to be fair. Joined the right team to play every week and develop further like Guerreiro and Dembele, Isak too who was linked to Real Madrid and had a concrete offer.

Yes, he is a smart dude, last year we were unlucky with all this players rejecting us. I hope we will have better luck next summer. It seems Roberto prime target was right on the spot. his alternatives wasn't as good. and then there is Gomes

Only Paco and Digne were alternatives and while the former had his struggles, I think Digne has been decent enough.

Yeah,but when you consider that Denis was basically coming from a loan so not really his signing,Gomes & Cillessen was Lucho choice.Those are really half of the players he signed. And Davinson would have been a bonus.
And yeah,I am actually a fan of Digne, and I am starting to think there is a hope for Paco to turn out good signing actually.
