Based on rumours, we have a deal in place with Araujo now. Lamine can't be renewed before his next birthday in July.
Hopefully, with next few months, Gavi and Pedri renewals will be announced.

Christensen too but he's fucked, not their fault.
Someone had to identify the Masia players, developed them, and give them first team contracts.
So yea the "we" in this instance build a team for years is very much correct.
But ohh noo we signed lewa so nothing else counts.

I find it nice spin control, hiding his transfer failures by touting the virtues of extending our own cantera players that he had little to do with developing much less recruiting
With the club 1:1 and Liga budget to increase, he still has much to prove IMHO - not simply in convincing the right targets but signing them without overpaying
