Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa has been linked with us. I certainly wouldn't mind that being true. Fast, athletic, intelligent and a leader - 6ft tall (would go some way in helping us with Set-pieces) and is young and capable of filling in anywhere in defense.

Thiago Silva and Javi Martinez are obviously the two most prominent options and both would be rather expensive. Also as boobie has pointed out, their clubs and also the players may be unlikely to want to pursue the move.

Anybody know about a player called Ogbonna heard he was very quick and strong but i don't know anything about him or where he plays.

Why would Milan sell their best defender?

There is always the chance during the season we say some signs that he may join us if he gets the chance but it would be difficult to price him from Milan and thats why i never said we are going to sign him but i said he is the kind of player we need.

I don't know him from FIFA 12 but some arsenal fans kept mentioning him in twitter as a quick and strong defender and how they would like to sign him.

There's always a chance, I would suppose. Don't think it's a very big one though, esp since Nesta will probably retire, Silva is by far the best cb remaining, and he's front & center for the propaganda campaign for Milan's new jerseys.

We've two of our best B team CBs being promoted next season. Don't think we'd reinforce in the same vein as people are suggesting..Perhaps a low-profile upcoming talent who has the experience and versatility to perform across the backline. It might not be the big names...some one like Rakitskiy/Yanga-Mbiwa (2 players our club has been tracking)..

But with Rossell's Brazilian fixation, TS can't be ruled out though..
