Good on him for playing well, but Gomes and Rafinha had a nice streak too and then fell off again. Would say something if he can keep the momentum up for a few more games.

This is the first consistent run he's gotten and he's made the most of it. I said it before he started getting more minutes his attributes make him the perfect midfielder for that side of the field the way Messi is playing. Since Denis is effective in his actual midfield spot as well as the wing whenever Messi decides to play his cam role Denis is quick to recognize it and fills the space on RW. That cross he made to Messi towards the end of the game was so amazing it even caught the GOAT by surprise. Then when you saw Messi's face after to me it was like he thought alright this kid may be as good as Xavi says.

But like others said he has to do it on a consistent basis. Here's hoping. Keep it up Denis the menace.

He'd be even better on the left flank in Neymar's position.
Wouldn't mind seeing this setup:

--------Suarez
Denis-----------Messi
---Iniesta-Roberto
-------Busquets

Roberto has the stamina and plays best as rcm as well. So instead of trying to fit bad fits (Turan, Gomes) get La Masia boys in there.

That honestly looks like our best midfield imo.

Shame Lucho and Neymar are a thing.

He was good yesterday but he needs to show consistency. He also disappears agains tougher opponents and has big oscillations douring every game he plays. It's common for him to play some great moves and than dissapear for next 20 min. Something like Kovacic for Madrid.

I think you guys are overrating Roberto as CM tbh,he will never be elite in that position tbh, probably have better chances to be gr8 starting RB or DM than CM,the guy has been frozen in the bench for years and only moved from it when he switched to other positions after all.

Got to see more of Denis for the rest of this season. Lucho must reward performance, with both Denis and Arda.

great time for him to be scoring goals and growing in confidence. It seems to me from watching him play that he is still overly cautious and nervous about making bad mistakes/not fitting in. hopefully he will grow more comfortable so that he will ask tougher questions of himself and his teammates.

CM is his natural position. As for "elite" (I cringe at that word btw.)... What we really need in that position is waterboy for Messi. Unless you are Verratti there really isnt anyone out there who could do the job much better than in-form Rakitic.
