Yeah, Denis definitely played better with Spain.

If we would play 442 with Suarez and Dembele upfront and with Messi as Cam.
Then Busi would be a Cdm, Denis would be a Lw.
That means that only one out of Iniesta, Rakitic, Gomes, Rafinha, Roberto, Paulinho, Arda would play, in order so that Denis could play.
We are playing 433, and Denis has never proved in his career that he can do anything either at Lw in 433 or a Cm in 433.
One more time, remember a golden rule which is repeating throughout Barca's and football's history: "If one player is consistently neglected by several different coaches in a row, there is an extremely high possibility that a player just sucks, and NOT that a stupid coach doesn't see player's potential."
Just a few latest examples from our history: Bartra under several different coaches, Samper under several different coaches, Deulofeu under several different coaches, Halilovic under several different coaches etc.
Denis was average in Sevilla, good in Villareal and horrible at Barca.
His one good season in a totally different formation (442) isn't anything special.
Even lords like Paco, Andre Gomes, Arda and Vidal had at least 1 awesome season in their former clubs in different formations.
With that logic, should we give way more chances to Paco, Gomes, Arda, Vidal and others also?
Lucho didn't play Denis as a winger even when we had zero sub wingers in our team.
He rather played Arda.
In midfield, Lucho rather played ANYONE other than Denis (Iniesta, Rakitic, Rafinha, Arda, Gomes, Roberto).
That says a lot, since our midfield rooster was far from world class.
Valverde is doing the same. He is already giving chances on wings to anyone else (Dembele, Deulofeu, Paco, Vidal).
In midfield, Denis will get zero chances it seems.
I have said a lot of times, in my eyes, Denis is our weakest player (yes, way worse player than Arda or Gomes).
And imo, what coaches are doing with him is extremely logical.
Imo, majority of you have fallen for his silky touch and nice movement, even though he makes absolutely zero impact.
Also, that thing "Messi likes him" has clouded people's judgement about Denis also.
He is a level of Villareal, Everton, West Ham and similar.
Even Italians teams like Napoli (who asked for him, according to papers) will imo be a too big step for him and his abilities.
His level are Uefa cup teams and stronger midtable teams (if he wants to be a starter).
