Now that we failed to get Goatinho, can Denis be our starting winger?
He excels in the wing from what I have seen

If Messi plays AM then Denis should be on the left. Better player than Deulofeu by far in my opinion.

Deulofeu is about as close to what a Barca player should be as Di Maria is and a worse player.

So, when you watch him (and blur all other players), he looks good.
When you put on paper what he has actually done in any match, you get a blank paper every time.
For me personally, the worst player on our rooster.

I hope that we'll play 433 with DSM and some random 3 midfielders (with more minutes for Roberto and Paulinho) and as low number of minutes for Denis The Ghost as possible.

I wouldn't say he's the worst tbh. We've got a pretty bad roster overall. Shockingly bad for a team trying to be the best. What you've been saying about us needing an overhaul really isn't far from the truth...

I have been saying 8-9 Months ago that our team is dead, 2/3 of our players and that we need a huge overhual.
People were saying back then: no. Our team is awesome. We just need to get rid of Lucho and this team will fly and win trophies easily.

The funny thing is, I am not that much pessimistic currently.
Ok, our team is still dead, but we got rid of Neymar, we have a RB Semedo, that is a huge plus, we have Dembele, who is a downgrade currently, but we'll see how that will work out, plus we have Lord Paulinho, who could still offer something different.

So, 80-90% of people were saying that our team is fine and not dead.
And now, majority of people think that we have zero chances for any trophies (lol).

I wanted an overhaul, but I knew that it was too soon since fans and the board are not realizing yet that majority of our team is dead.
So, we will either need to sink even lower or people will just figure it out over time either way, since majority of players will run like turtles soon.

But still, even a current team with semidead players can still compete for at least La liga.
Mats: semi new guy, playable, not a turtle, high motivation
Semedo: a new guy, not a turtle, high motivation
Pique: low motivation, but he can still play
Umtiti: a new guy, not a turtle, high motivation
Alba: semi dead, but at least not a turtle
Busi: dead, low motivation, a turtle, but ok
Paulinho/Roberto: new guys, not turtles, high motivation, both run like crazy
Cm2: ??
Dembele: a new guy, not a turtle, high motivation
Suarez: a turtle
Messi: always an alien

Even here, that is Mats, Umtiti, Semedo, Roberto/Paulinho, Dembele.
A decent amount of fresh players.
Also, Pique, Busi, Alba are not THAT dead, and can still play.
Imo, guys who are totally dead and gone are Iniesta, Rakitic, Mascherano, Arda. But we can play without them easily.

So, it is not THAT bad when you put 3-4 new guys (Dembele, Paulinho, Semedo and more minutes for motivated Roberto).
Also, who knows what Alena can offer...

Our team is only dead if we'll play too many out of these players in the same time: Suarez, Iniesta, Rakitic, Busi, Pique, Mascherano, Arda.
Without majority of them we could get more motivation, more energy, more running. Less technique and less beautiful Tiki-Taka football, but a combative team who can win 2:0 and 2:1 against anyone and fight for La Liga.

But, if we'll play with Busi, Raki, Iniesta in majority of matches then we are dead.
Let's give more minutes to Roberto, Paulinho, Alena and maybe some miracles will happen in terms of motivation, energy, balance and some luckier results.

I want to see him play more. I think he can come very good this season if managed properly.

Not saying it makes him a great player, but there is a reason why Sarri was very interested in bringing him to Napoli. The kid has talent.

Glad he stayed with us. this is the type of scenario he leaves for Napoli for cheap and then explodes onto the scene. at this point he deserves to be ahead of Deulofeu

No, no he really doesn't. Let Deulofeu have a bad game first or something, because right now his performances say he deserves the spot as first backup.

I think he should be given the chance to be backup for Iniesta and even start many games given Iniesta's age.

Not sure he suits the wing. As others have said his productivity isn't great.

He should be a starter until we lose a game against Granada without even creating a chance, then people will go about how shit our bench is, same story over and over again.. He just has no style, and his passing is just absurd, nowhere even near barca level, I don't understand how can he be our AM. He said something that he will work hard like never before, but I doubt he can suddenly become world class and become a starter here.

He's a total ghost as a midfielder. At least on the wing he can bring something from the bench.

Much better player than likes of Duelofeu who shouldnt even be at the club.

Hopefully now Dembele brings pace Duelofeu is binned and if another winger needed Denis gets the minutes.

Denis at LW has proven himself outwith the club at a high level and should be given a chance there.

Deulofeu has failed at Sevilla, Everton and even at poor AC Milan side left fans with pretty much same impression in end.

For me Denis is far better player proven at a higher level.

I agree about Denis as first choice as LW/LF. That is if we are playing 4-2-3-1 and Messi centrally.
